Back in 2010, I was working as a dishwasher. The job sucked. But the feeling of playing this album on the night drive back home, windows open and welcoming the LA air, is an exact moment of content that can't be replicated.
Been listening to this song since I was in high school. Crystal Castles helped me through a lot of dark times in my life, I am proud of any of the younguns who've landed here.
Premise to interlude Wait til all bones protrude You're con-vexed, you're convert There's a stain on your shirt Semi-sweet, semicide The remorse you can't hide Now we molt past our skin And make room to begin Symmetry You must work in symmetry You must earn their empathy Symmetry You must work in symmetry You must earn their empathy Down down cities fall down on me The final chrysalis Self-controlled consciousness Now it feels imminent Done for your benefit Eat right out of their hand Its concaved all your glands We're encouraged to forget Preference to be force fed Symmetry You must work in symmetry You must earn their empathy Symmetry You must work in symmetry You must earn their empathy Down down cities fall down on me You must earn our empathy You must earn our empathy You must earn our empathy You must earn our empathy
I wish I was listening to this in my early 20's. But no. Instead, I was listening to Capital Cities and Justin Bieber. 🤦 I didn't start having good music taste until like 2 years ago. My new kick is French Police and Chase Atlantic. But this shit 🔥tho.

To be entirely honest, I though the speaking was more one of those background harmonys to push the melody even farther, no idea there was even lyrics til I read your comment :D thanks friendo
Vou continuar ouvindo
Why are things never as deep as music like this. Where is the club scene that fits such music, where is the masterpiece of a show that has this as a theme song and deserves to have it? Where is the life that is escorted by this song in the background? The slow walks that you'd see The fucking awesome montages that could be. Crystal Castles, you know how to make music
There's a scene in Skins (UK) with crystal castles playing a show in a club in the show, which is definitely something. Good show too, as far as series 1 and 2 go
man, i really love crystal castles,i listened to this song whenever i was coming back home and i listened to it while doing homework or working on something,i miss them, they were easily the 1st thing that i will never forget, R.I.P Crystal Castles =(
From what I've read many people agree that this song is about us all becoming "robots" in the pursuit of "empathy". In an NME interview ethan said she speaks the lyrics as a robot. It's as if we're all destroying our own individuality in order to fit in.
it's quite the opposite. we are destroying ourselves by pursuing individualism at all cost. as individuals and as a society. this music is a reflection of our isolation and self destruct. that's why we like it.
my brother saw them live circa 2011 and i was in middle school at the time but i remember him showing me the video of the concert and all the lasers when the beat dropped looked insane
Ah this was the first CC song I ever heard. I have a soft spot in my heart for some of their songs because they will always remind me of summer ‘14. I was 17, we went to Disney world, and some nights I spent up til 3am scrolling through pictures on We Heart It lol. I miss that time so bad.
@@dreamymimiasmr8848 omg yes I saw too, I’m extremely heartbroken about it! What’s the point of even having the app anymore if you’re gonna get rid of everything on it😤😖
This is seriously the type of best, i can't really describe but love it. Maybe it's that they have some kinda mystery in them... This one and also m83 solitude one they're really so good!
Back when crystal castles was the real shit. The perfect balance of dead and alive- artistry with 80s synth in god b like rythyms. Alice, you rocked this. Sad it had to end.
