Do NOT be a coward. This is the last thing God wants of you. Matthew 26:52 is one of the most misquoted taken out of context verses, probably ever. Right up there with ''Judge not lest ye be judged'' Jesus did NOT mean that a person is in the wrong for wielding a sword, how could it possibly mean that when he TOLD his followers to sell their belongings and buy swords, for self-defense. Paul was not in the wrong for defending Jesus, Jesus rebuked him simply because it was Jesus's time, it was needed that he be crucified and sacrificed to save the world. Jesus was correct, those who live by the sword, will die by it, Jesus was NOT saying it is a sin to defend yourself, others, or even your property, and home for that matter. Scripture backs this up. Exodus 22:2 ''If a thief is caught breaking in at night and is struck a fatal blow, the defender is not guilty of bloodshed.'' Notice how it says THIEF. Genesis 9:6 ''Whoever sheds the blood of man, by man shall his blood be shed, for God made man in his own image.'' It doesn't say whoever sheds the blood of man, by God their blood be shed, it says by MAN. Romans 13:3-4 ''For rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong. Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right and you will be commended. 4 For the one in authority is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for rulers do not bear the sword for no reason. They are God’s servants, agents of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer.'' @BlessedWarriorOfGod yes I agree that people of God should be bold but he said that because by using the sword creates more enemies that why jesus said “You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, Mathew 5:43-44
@@fabholo But the sword is necessary is what I'm saying, as proven by Jesus. It's obvious that we're not to do what is wicked, but you are allowed to defend yourself, your family, the innocent, your home and belongings, and your nation.
