Crystal Isles is the best map for most things. Most resources, artifacts, alot of different dinos and blueprints

The whole south east area around those big dead trees (near the southeastern Beach) is actually rich in metal. The moss covered stones give a good amount of metal worth farm with anything (anky, magma, strider etc)

Im farming silicia pearls on crystal with a stryder. At that otter lake, pretty easy early game without the need of an angler fish.

crystal is the most heavily underrated map just bc the base spots aren’t that good

you forgot to mention unlimited element in the shard mountains. stryder and skiff you can get 125k each run on small tribes rates translating to 1.2k ele. twice as much per run durin a 4x event.

Could you you do a fuel consumption test. See how much metal to charcoal (official rates 30 minute timer or something) then turn fuel consumption up by 10x and see the results. It says in Beacon that the lower the fuel consumption the less charcoal so would that be the same for metal?

Bottom right of crystal isles is a swamp that you can farm for metal, i suggest staying by the river and farming all the rocks you can cap a dedi on 1x in under 30min

If you use a magmasur in the bee cave you can black box on 1x the magmasur i use has 400+ melee tho edit: magmasur cant be stun by bees as long as u stay mounted your good

Since when did angler farm black pearls? Is it just those CI black pearls?

The problem with crystal isles farming is the issue of bringing over 4 tek gens 4 tek tps then turrets if u wanna protect them and if u Anna protect them with tek turrets 2 u need to bring over more ele to put in those and if u say then just farm shards u need a skiff to do it effectively but you can argue download a strider by one bubble and then just farm that but then u need to link that strider then unless you just wanna power with dust and that can b pricy if u plan to do this any longer than a day or 2 it’s really good in theory but in practice it’s better to just spend like an extra few missions on gen 2

tbh crystal its the best map for farming (better then gen2) but the spots are trash so the lategame if u dont have the alpha rathole/basi block its hard

Yeah Crystal Isles is the best map to start out on. You can defend the main base with fed suits and net guns. You don’t even need tames besides the strider and skiff. And there is also raising space on the map if you know where to look. The map is pretty much entirely self sufficient besides tames you need from other maps

What about all the loot from alpha missions

On any map you can get all recources if you have a stryder XD

bro i mean for the gunpowder making u just buy it and ur done missons take less than 5 mins and u get OP loot from themi get more annoyed by the crafting proces and if u than also had to make the sparkpowder that would take even longer

I think crystal isles is the best farming map in ark, the bog biome bottom right of map every moss covered rock is a metal node, most ppl go to ab for metal runs when on a 10x server I easily slot cap 3 forges in about 20mins in crystal bog. Good start point is the triple waterfall double rathole.

buying w hexagons still best u buy 1000 40 stacks of char and spark crafts 1000k gp max u can craft per chem bench and its clearn after no switching out un even spark powder and charcoal

best location for crafting ammo is rag not crystal isles my friends just past volcanic area close to snow is a area filled with burnt trees for charcoal and the entire area is surrounded by rocks all you need is a stryder or drill and you have unlimited ammo farm its the best cause everything you need is literally in 1 spot,,, tbh at alpha stage only good thing about crystal isle for farm is bee cave other than that its only the heir's you care about and griffins theres no real reason other than those to be there

I've found the best way not to lose everything every few days in ark is to just not have anything. Just run around and punch trees

Recently played with some hispanic pvprs and they weny to crystal isles for framing everything. Within a day of that server opening up, they had one of the craziest defended bases i had ever seen. Just the fact that crystals are everywhere and metal too. Everything is overabundant.

for pvp you dont have very good spot for bases on CI, maybe only for small tribes...but for end game, i think is better gen2. You need to defend it, otherwise it mean you will need to setup 1 every 4 days cause u got offlined

You can farm Element Shard in this map too. But to me Ragnarok still the best map. I know that Ragnarok lacks many resource types and useful dinos, but how the map were designed makes it, by far, the most beautiful map. I think that Wild Card could give some love to The Center and Ragnarok, these 2 maps are really outdated compared to some maps like Crystal Isle and Lost Island, like The Center is the best map for P+, as it only has non-fantasy creatures, so they could add the new non-fantasy creatures from newer maps to The Center to make it a real Dino Island, without influence of Wyverns, Drakes, Magmasaur and so on. As for Ragnarok just some changes, in Carnivore Cave they could add the Gems and some other resources from Aberration, along with Ravager and Roll Rat. Scotlands could have Tropeognatus and Maewing, and Swamps could have a rare Basilisk spawn. Shadowmane abd Karkinos could spawn in the Cannyons where Griffin and Spinos spawn. Sinomacrops in Redwoods would, somewhat, fit in, and maybe add a rare spawn to Amargasaurus in Volcano area. Well that's all. I don't think other creatures would really fit like natural in this map.

but it takes longer to sit there and craft all stone and flint into all sparkpowder and then all into gunpowder buying spark powder and charcoal is much faster

Best map to farm arb is gen2 because that's where most bases are. Dropping a tower is much quicker than farming like a bob.

Just do Velo Mission on gen2, takes 3-4 min fro 30k points, then buy charcole and sparkpowder

So firstly you clearly have never been apart of a mega if you think that’s efficient. I’d rather have guys farming points on Gen 2 transferring slots and crafting them while getting good loot from the missions themselves. You get enough canons from the mission on Gen 2 to outpace farming the regular way.
