As I get older, I find myself drawn more to the melodic side of metal for regular listening. This song definitely has melody, especially in the beginning, and the pace changes are great! I'm not one to buy music anymore, but this will be a go-to.
Crystal Lake is one of those bands that drew me into the Metalcore scene, well after investing decades into melodic death/black/power metal. I used to not really care much for the core genre. Buddy of mine played this song earlier in the year - and holy fuckin' goosebumps, that melodic itch was scratched.
Through your channel I was introduced to Crystal Lake having no idea who they were. They had a handful full of songs that I liked at first but I wasn't completely sold on all of their stuff. But when I heard they were touring with Fit For A King and August Burns Red I was really interested to check out to see how they were going to be live. And man old man they completely sold me and now I am hooked after seeing them live. They are such an energetic band and they were incredible. they don't seem to have that big of a crowd yet in North America but I can't wait until they completely blow up because I have a feeling that they will. if you ever get the chance to go see them live I'm telling you you won't regret it.
Love your videos man, plus I saw these guys 6 days ago and they were the opener.... I've never seen a better opener and honestly they are in the top 5 for bands I've seen live, and I've been to a ridiculous amount of shows.....keep it up buddy!
I had the privilege to see Crystal lake open for Miss May I, Fit for a King and August Burns Red. And their intensity is even more so live. It was an absolutely amazing concert that I hope everyone gets a chance to see!
fuck yeah dude pretty keen on hearing the rest of the album. they have released their world tour dates. just hope they can pop into Australia towards the end :D
Hey man! I recall in some of your videos that you wanted a band that does rap style vocals over really heavy music.. I just recently got into this band called Devastator who does exactly that! I think you’d really enjoy them, I’d recommend their song Unconscious! Keep putting out great content my man:)
Ryo’s vocals have improved greatly since I first heard their single Prometheus. He’s got range in his uncleans that weren’t heard of in Crystal Lake’s last album.
Damn! This was one of those 'sit on the edge of your seat cause you know it's gonna be good' moments. Man this was awesome! \m/ Have you heard the new Lorna Shore song, "Darkest Spawn"? It is pretty much the same as most of their other music, but it is still heavy and fun.
Listen to Dealer. They have two songs so far: Grotesque and Crooked. The Song consist of old members of Northlane, Capture the Crown and more. And the Singer is the old one from Alpha Wolf. So I think youre gonna enjoy the songs (crooked probably the most)
Holy fuck I saw crystal lake Monday night if no one has seen theses guys and are a fan you fucking need to see them holy fuck they are infuckingsane his Vocals in person are unreal.
What’s the song on the intro to this video? Great video by the way. Your reactions have introduced me to so many more new bands!! Keep up the awesome job!!
If you dig this djenty and melodic metalcore, I highly recommend Ghost Iris. Their LP Apple of Discord just dropped and it is stellar. You should listen to their latest single, The Devil's Plaything. Also - Spiritbox : The Mara Effect, Part I ; and iwrestledabearonce - Green Eyes
Lad, the other day my mind told me "hey that dude 'galacticriminal' reacted to a band called Veil of Maya, you should listen to that" and I did so. But I looked for that reaction and: or doesn't exist and I got VOM in place of CL, or copyright put it down, or I just didn't found the video. Anyway, you should listen to Overthrow, that one has nice breakdowns. Greets from Argentina.
You got to react to Traitors man! They have a new album "Repent" dropping March 1st! Traitors is some of the Angriest shit you will ever hear! Give them a listen my dude!
