Thank you for this very informative video. I have a small pile of them and was wondering what was in them physically. I like the highlighting pictures with arrows, it make it very clear. You could by the way notice the Thick Film Resistors (you call them MLCC's I think) as well though. The TFR's contain Ruthenium Oxyde and/or Rodium. People can pile them up and sell them to a big refiner. Its not recommended to refine them yourself because its a complicated expensive process, but moreover very dangerous. But again, thanks for the video. Oh, I missed just one thing: the small crystals in a tubular package or was I not paying attention enough? Keep up the good work mate, its very appreciated. And don't loose your accent, it is very charming 😁

Dusan, I have big idea. What do you think? We process the very small ones with sulfuric and that would leave us with ferrous sulfate and silver as waste. Don't know if it would work but it's a thought, take care.
I think you have a good idea, Mike. I've never worked with sulfuric acid so I would have the harder time to get it to try, but I definitely like the idea.
I need to show you Military Oscillators, Gold pins leading inside than gold plating, gold bond wires than the Oscillator. They came off of Mobile computers for Humvees, helicopters and many other vehicles im sure.

Odlicno odradjen video sa dosta poucnih stvari ali bih te zamolio da uradis kratak klip kako izgledaju starozice)i modeli MLCC koje si davno vec procesuirao i dali postoje i kako izgledaju stari tantalum(ne zuti kockasti i crni sa sivom linijom)vec ako ima starih modela kako izgledaju i sta treba sacuvati od ovih starih modela(imam ih mnogo a ne znam sta su). Recimo okrugli plavi(sa dve nozice)sa plavom i crvenom tackom na vrhu,zatim zute sa dve nozice,narandzaste i tako dalje. Znaci bilo bi super kad bi izdvojio one koji su po tebi vredni da se skupljaju ti stavi na sto i ovako napisi sta su da znamo brate da ne bacamo.Ja sve skupljam jer i ne znam sta je sta osim osnovnih(MLCC,kristali,Tantalijum i drugi poznati) Jos jednom te molim za kratak poucni klip o tome. Jos da te pozdravim iz Krusevca i pozelim sve naj-naj zdravlje i srecu a ostalo ce napravis.

Thus: it is best to first use Hcl, remove tin, then rinse and add Nitric that will absorb silver and maybe a little Paladium. Then add Hcl to Nitric to precipitate Silver chloride and make Aqwaregia from which you can then extract Paladium with a chlorine gas generator. I hope I was helpful. Soon I'll make a video about the oscillators.
That it is not a bad idea at all. But I think that the size of silver in relation to base metal would be too small, it might just not be worth the effort. I will already find what I will do with them :)
i have about a hundred pieces , some heavily covered but am wondering if its worth the time , also how much solution might be absorbed by the broken pottery, lookin forward to your results
My hands are more damaged because of the carpentry work I do, I do not do so much with acids vithout gloves, but that's how it looks like. Carpentry work is hard and it reflects on the skin.
