OMG, J Murphy on DR, Gordon AMR, just because Eddie Howe love putting Dan Burn on DL. Even this topic has been mentioned 1000 times, I still want to emphasize this again: Dan Burn is a CENTRAL defender!
He played CB and LB for Brighton… and even Wigan. Howe signed him to be Adaptable as a left footed CB that can play in LB. Also since he finally got Sven Botman from Lille, who is also a left footed CB who likes to play on the left side CB. Which is where Burn plays. But in Howes eyes, Botman was better than Burn in that position (before his injury) and was signed for €35m so he plays there. So Burn has to play in LB. Really Newcastle should go look for a great ‘proper’ LB and kerb burn as, a back up to Botman. Burn’s getting old anyway. 33.
