When ETH gave that interview to Gary and Sky recently talking about how he is doing this season is the same as what he did last season… It had me concerned. It’s almost as if he doesn’t understand that you have to change and adapt if teams are going to play through your previous style. This season the opposition plays straight through the team and ETH refuses to change or adapt even though it’s not working. Players go to international duty and play totally different positions and styles sometimes!!! I can’t understand why he thinks adaptation is impossible or unnecessary. Man United's problem is no longer the coach, but a loss of DNA. The highest and most valuable thing a club can lose. Since the departure of Sir Alex Ferguson they have had so many good coaches (Van Gaal, Mourinho, Moyes...and now Ten Haag) and great players (Falcao, Casemiro, Cavani, Ibrahimovic, Pogba, Juan Mata, Matteo Darmian, Sancho , Schweinsteiger...) tried and didn't get it right. These players and coaches always needed and deliver their performances before and after at other major clubs such as Real Madrid, Inter Milan, Juventus, Bayern Munich... it only doesn't work if they are under contract with United.

Arsenal fan here, I remember how bad we were in Arteta's first couple of seasons. But he was at least always he honest with us about how far away from the top we were, and you could see what his idea was and how he wanted to play. I remember we beat Liverpool 2-1 during covid after they'd won the league and he wasn't trying to fool the fans into thinking we'd played well, he said the gap between us and Liverpool was enormous and he knew what he needed to do to bridge the gap and exactly how he was going to do it. That's a leader, not someone who tries to bluff the fans into thinking you're playing well when you're getting pumped every week.

The ONLY way is change the whole gameplan: Go to 523 or 3421 formation, doing what Xabi or de Zerbi is doing when on the ball. Make sure u always got the box shape in the middle. This is because more and more teams in Premier League use the box shaped in the middle and variety of back 5 formations as time goes on. When defending, DON'T press high. Focus on the midfield
