We've been there a couple time this year, yesterday to be exact, and it's $10 per person it go in and dig then $1 per pound you haul out. There's a scale and drop box on site to weight out your haul and pay. You can go in and just dig to your hearts content or go through the pits already dug, but for the most part you'll be amazed at the amount of flint just laying on the ground that has been scattered. The owner comes in every now and again to fill in pits and dig new ones so there is always something new laying around just like in this video. Just remember one tip, the upper layer of flint is the blue/gray to white in color and the yellow, red, black and pinks are below to upper layer.
@W8MJL I would love to find crystals and gem stones more then I would flint. I've heard u can find those here also. How likely is that? And do u have to break the rocks to find them or just dig the dirt? I've never done either and would be so fun to do.. I live 26 minutes away. Just need to know what I need to take. Would love to go when someone who knows what they are doing goes! That would he awesome
@@angelamarie727I've only heard of a lucky few that have found just the quartz alone, but it required a lot of digging. Most of the crystal you'll find, just like in this video, will be on and in the flint. If you walk through and really watch you can find pieces with sparkle but braking into the larger ones could reveal a lot more, those you'll have to dig for unless someone left one exposed or tossed it aside.
