The only reason its like that is because mirage is the map with the actual highest skill ceiling because whether you like it or not csgo is an fps game not chess and a powerful AWP can literally just shit on you and there's not much you can do about it. Example is the worlds best mirage player s1mple, he's the best mirage player for obvious reasons. TLDR mirage has the highest skill ceiling for an individual player so theoretically you would have to be good at mirage to be the best team in the game. That is unless you just do the smart move Astralis did and not play it.

@@dillo1594exactly, by removing the most difficult map for a team of 5 players out of whom none really excell individually, thry can stomp on other more team based maps, and also for the majority of the playerbase, mirage is the map they play the most and their best map, so ye.
