i sometimes think back to that time once i got a m4a1s knight dropped it was 25 or 35 $ in factory new just 21 or 31 if i just would have thought about a tradeup. also the howl and all that stickers damn i was like nah 40€ is so much for a m4 skin than it got removed i bought one 1 or 2 years ago for 200 now its 900€....
I played since 2011, at the time of kato selling for 25 cents in-game, everybody though stickers are shit and ruin weapon skins. You wouldn't have bought or at least held any for a significant amount of time, just like 99.99% of people didn't. I want to kill myself
I did and I bought and opened these capsules too lol, sold the stickers for cheap early on (there was no way to see this coming, just like bitcoin, etc.)
For anyone still wondering, back then he bought those sticker capsules for under $5, nowadays those sticker capsules go for 2 - 5 thousand dollars (meaning if he didn't open any of those that would be around 50 - 100k in today's money). Although it pains my eyes to see them opened so carelessly and quickly, he did get a 15 - 20k sticker (4:20), I really hope he still has any of those stickers because even the cheapest one there is nearly 200 - 300 dollars. Fun Fact: there are only 300 - 800 capsules left in the world meaning that the price of these capsules could potentially skyrocket to 10 - 20k. I also really don't hope he applied any of these stickers to his guns and later on sold them on the market, that would've been horrible but we cannot blame him, this was over 7 years ago and no one back then could've predicted the price of these capsules.
it wouldn't have really mattered since its been 7 years since he unboxed, theyre like 8-9k now i believe so this wouldve only been 150-200k, if u think about it thats kinda trash in 7 years time xd
What people always forget to realise, is that if you had all these stickers. would you have kept them? No you wouldn't have. If you bought these stickers back in the day for like $5, then 2 years later u coulda traded them for a knife. You would have 100%. The only people who kept them were serious investors, people who were already rich af, or people who forgot they had them until they were valuable.
@@Robstrap yep, keeping them for that long, most people wouldn't have done, thats why they are so expensive now, they just got used up and people didnt really expect for them to reach just heights. Interestingly supply of these might end this year, meaning there might be very low amount unknown ones popping up from time to time but for most part they will go extinct.

thats what happened to me. i remember the day ibp holos reached $10 on the market, got home from school and sold my only 5 and thought to myself ‘that was the easiest 50 bucks i ever made’
i still find it so funny and interesting how there ended up being such a high demand, and for lack of a better word shocking prices, for stickers that in 99% of other timelines would have ended up being pretty much worthless
