CS2 brings back left handed ... and Dust2 

dust2 coming back to map pool 100% have something to do with major in china... dust2 is so popular there.

I understand bringing back Dust 2 because of China, but they could remove Vertigo instead of Overpass

Vertigo's verticality and multiple ways of taking sites is not bad at all. Mirage should be the one to go.

0:58 why for those who didnt get a B or more in math in school? I don't know the loss bonuses for each round by heart. Was there any way before to see the money you would get next round? Could you mouseover the loss bonus? I did not know that... i am very happy for the update especially for new players who don't know the exact loss bonus. I mean, i have almost 2k hours and some kind of good money management compared to others on my elo and I know you get more money each loss, but I really don't know the exact numbers.

They removed the best map and added the worst map. And Inferno is still in there... wth

While I do agree that Dust 2 isn't a complicated map that is gonna show new lineups or new strats most of the time, I do think that is literally why its a good map. Dust 2 is all about how perfectly you do the simple shit, how good your aim is at long, how you take peeks, all the fundamentals are seen clearly in Dust 2 due to the lack of the more complicated shit. Its all in the finer details of the fundamentals that CS really shines. I can trust players that say Dust 2 is boring to them, but if they say Dust 2 is a bad map: I honestly think they are bad.

Mirage for dust 2 would have been better, but the overpass rework doesnt work so they might want to tweak it and bring it back after or with cobbles comeback

I didn't love Overpass but I didn't wanted it out of map pool either. It's currently one of the best map right now (at least in pro scene). What tf is Valve doing?

I was hoping for a map pool change, but i certainly wouldn't have replaced overpass. I love that map. I'd rather have replaced inferno tbh. Inferno is a good map, but it's always kinda the same thing there. And i'd rather have cobble than dust but i understand that it's because of chinese players

Valve needs to add more hostage maps. Give us back Assault, Agency, Militia, Insertion 2, ANYTHING!

caters to the people who don't 5 stack premier, when you go into games not knowing how ur teams gonna play having d2 on is a sigh of relief compared to other maps. even w/ d2 back mirage is still the most played. even w/ it being my perma ban it's still my most played map by far compared to others. people enjoy the comfortability playing theyve always known. they should do map swaps every 3 months imo

main issue with Overpass has to do with the bigger issue that all pros are crying about the economy not being being fixed or touched up a bit. As a T if your team is dead broke semi broke and can’t afford the proper utility or weapons you get smashed because no site is straight up rushable without losing having to bite a bullet or two etc…. So with the current money situation having a map where economy matters a ton due to map layout. Of course you can’t play it or it feel like a balanced map when the simply factor on every map (money) is slightly more important on Overpass. Not saying mess with the economy of the game but adding a map where it is just spawn based still is gonna have issues when teams are dead broke getting long spawns having to rush down a awp and m4s while trying to fend off utility having 2.4k in the bank.

if it would have been -vertigo +dust2 it would be fine imo. if you remove overpass atleast bring back train or cobbl, something that is similar in size and complexity. Dust2 is basicly deathmatch in premier below 20K. the change feels unbalanced

Dust 2 and Mirage have the same issue. They are excellent maps, but they are horribly overplayed because average CS player can play only one of these two and would not recongnize Cache from Nuke.

dust 2 is for tourism profits. lets be honets out of a million who played CS 950 thousands of em are literally tourists. out of those 50 thousand only 10 thousand are above puggy level.

It's time for a new map for everyone to hate!

At the end of the day, Cs is a fps shooting game. People acting Overpass getting removed as if there was some tactical genius rounds every map. Dust can be a bit boring in terms of creativity but provides absolute delight for brawl matches. And if the pro teams are worried about it being puggy, they should focus on their aim more.

Opass is my favorite map, D2 is my least favorite map. Instant ban from me every time.

I have seen many people say that they wanted Dust 2, Cache or Train and I am here facepalming: why tf would you want old maps instead of NEW ONES?? Have you guys seen Thera? Why not add this instead of garbage Dust 2? Why not... demanding from Valve's 'hard-working' employees new maps? We could make rotations of the map pool after the end of every Major. So a Major ends, now with some way decide which two or three maps to erase and add for the next Major. Easy as that. Valve could make official polls in their website and every player could vote.

I'm a rather casual premier enjoyer (sitting at around 11-12k elo), and before map pool change there wasn't a single map I could confidently say I disliked. Now there's dust2 that I really dislike, and worst of all people like to pick it over other maps. This is disappointing.

It is literally the worst mappool

Biggest problem with the game (other than rampant hacking) are 2 or 3 n00bs with AWPs on each team that make the game really boring. Getting maps that aren't good for AWPs (Inferno, Nuke or Overpass) was the only way to play at intermediate ranks. Now we have an AWP fest instead of one of those. Truely dissappointed in the decision and its turned me off the game for the first time since 2000.

Removing overpass was not it. Remove Anubis or Ancient first. Then Vertigo and Overpass were the 3rd and 4th worst maps

anubis is the worst map. garbage angles and people can just be on your ass from everywhere in secounds. nuke, vertigo is also trash but nuke is kind of a breath of fresh air from the rest of the maps because its so different and ofc its a classic. however if you remove maps you remove anubis or vertigo. dust2 is a classic but absolute cancer in pugs because of ruski t spawn campers and tryhards running down the clock every round so I dont mind it being there but it should be bannable, wich means you have to remove anubis or vertigo....

D2 is a horrible map for high tier play and a worse map for everyone else. The meta before it was banned was awp crutch and it STILL is. D2 needs some real changes if it's gonna stay in the pool.

Left hand should have been in the game since release but took a year to add. Removing Overpass for Dust is a classic Valve move. Cs2 continues to be disappointing.

As aright handed shooter, I asked for this left handed hot swap for peeking purposes ages ago...as I knew they weren't going to actually add a real lean peek this was all I knew I would get. And it finally happened. So thanks, I guess. Prone, sprint , iron sight shouldering and lean peek are still needed despite the content demeanor of the mass fanatic playerbase ....the game still lacks as a tac shooter. When you can get shot through the walls these are just needed. Why stop at the best hit placement and wall banging in the industry? When you add this left hand hot swap with a real lean peek you have the best in industry ...seriously! @Valve : Give the pros somthing Fresh to learn, and stop living in the past. Thanks. ( Under fire? Drop to the ground.. oh ya you can't....so you just die.. 'it's just a game' 😮 oh boy ....'I better 'just go play the other tac shooters' as they say ...
