Nice looking cards wish I had my 58 jim brown rookie card graded just haven't had the time but I will spring time here just so much to do thanks for sharing
Thinking about submitting to CSG for the first time, but was wondering if you can send them cards in regular top loaders or do they have to be in the card savers?
@@verbone PSA IS THE #1 SPORTS GRADING COMPANY SORRY. BUT YEA I LIKE PAYING 50-100 AND GIVING MY PRODUCT TONS OF VALUE VS. A COMPANY THAT CLEARLY HAS GRADERS WHO DONT EVEN KNOW WHAT THEY GRADING AND SLABS THAT NOT EVEN GIVE THE CARD ANY SORT OF VALUE , RATHER PAY UP AND NOT BE CHEAP AT THE END OF THE DAY PSA SLABS PAY OFF ONCE U SELL THE CARD . I HOPE PRICES EVENTUALLY DO COME DOWN BUT THE DEMAND IS CRAZY
Great video! Me and my dad sent out some cards to csg a couple months ago and sent out a bat down Acuna rookie that’s mine and then he sent out a couple Kobe rookies and some other cards!
Really enjoyed this reveal video. It motivated me to send some recent Diamond Kings cards to CSG for PC. My 2020 DK Trout Gallery of Stars and 2022 Bryce Harper DK Artist Palette look amazing in the super clear CSG slabs.!
Trout 9.5, Harper 9 - corners, 2020 DiMaggio DK artist proof blue -9, 2021 DK Seaver gray frame - 10. The CSG slabs are so clear they almost seem to magnify the colors in the cards!
I just subscribed to your channel today and in my honest opinion, I really like these slabs. This is the first video I've seen with their new slabs. Great video and will be watching more of your videos ty sir. Oh 1 more thing, how much per card did it cost at CSG?
Thank you I really appreciate it. I did a bulk sub, 50 cards minimum, @ $12 a card. You also have shipping and I bought a membership, but still a great price in today's market.
Awesome review my man. I just found your Channel and subscribed. I watched your other video minutes ago with your grading set up which was helpful since I haven’t sent any yet and still need to pick up my own grading equipment to help out. Thanks I look forward to all the next videos
I’m glad I subbed to you, sir. Excellent video at a time when so many people are on the fence about SGC and CSG. Unfortunately, the “market” prefers PSA, which unexplainably adds more value to a card than any of the grading companies, and I completely disagree with that. IMHO, these slabs look FAR better than PSA or SGC, and I feel like if the company is reliable and has an honest track record, whether the grade is from PSA, SGC, or CSG, a 10 is a 10, a 9 is a 9 and so on and so forth. Blows my mind to see how gorgeous these slabs are but that that a PSA would be substantially more expensive. I feel the same way about the difference in value between a 9, 9.5, and a 10. In some cases, many cases rather, a Kobe Bryant rookie grade 10 is $1500 or more than a 9 or 9.5. The market is dumb!! But I digress. How long did this submission take from send off to return?
I 100% agree with you and maybe time will tell If PSA can hold on to the market. I like the slabs and the price point so I will continue to use either CSG or SGC. On the timeframe I was blown away. They got my cards April 6th and I had them April 22, unbelievable turnaround time. It was a 60 day sub and I expected them to arrive around the 90 day lol. If they can keep doing this they will grab a lot of customers, we'll have to see. I truly appreciate your comment and your sub, I hope I've helped you and others out. 🙏
@@4cssportscards345 I don’t understand how the David Robinson gets an 8.5. That was one of the only questionable grades to me. I’ve watched this twice now. Almost all of the cards at first glance, to me, were what they were ultimately graded. I paused a few of em to try and center em lol. Also, I’m just floored at the fact you gave 3200 cards to each child in your daughters class. Did I hear that correctly? What an awesome and amazing gift for them to receive. Mostly bc they probably had some iconic cards in there worth a couple bucks, but had no clue which one it was or how many. What a cool way to introduce a new generation to collecting. That’s really cool, man. I’m glad I watched this today, because I literally just sent 20 to PSA-20 allocations @ $50/ea-I won them last week. They’re guaranteeing less than 90 days. I’ve seen vids of subs coming back in slabs in as little as 11. That’s not too bad. I sent 20 that I recently acquired from an estate sale. Definitely trying to make a profit, but honestly, anything will be a profit. So, I can afford 90 days if I have to. Probably not going to lose any money if the market changes significantly in that amount of time. Obviously I do feel PSA has the higher resale value if one does choose to sell. I don’t like that this is where we are, but I’m smart enough to get the most amount possible lol. However, with all of that being said, I’m somewhat relieved, bc after watching this video and seeing the slabs -and especially the label…(I can’t get over how nice I think the labels are… over almost any other company), I’ve decided that I’m going to send another 20 out of my PC to CSG-just bc of how much I like their labels, man. If SGC would tweak their labels a little, a new label with that tux slab would put them over the top lol. Sorry for the long message, bro!! I tend to ramble!! Respectfully ✊
@@nezbola great comment, Yes you did hear me correctly, I loved how happy the kids got when they saw the cards, I will definitely be doing it more often. The PSA thing might be around for a awhile because they are the big dog for now and it's going to be hard to take their place. For a person like me, an ordinary simple collector, PSA is just too expensive and I don't have the high dollar cards to justify using them for now. Since I'm not worried about resale value and more interested in look and protection of the cards to pass on to my kids and grandkids. Maybe in 30-40 years they might be worth the $12 I paid to grade them, lol. I'll let the kids decide if they want them or they might just throw them out. I would love to see a CSGC tux slab, lol. The CSG slab and label with the SGC black insert, 👍. Oh, and the Robinson card also got me, I have to get a closer look at it, I could've sworn that it was a 10 when I sent it. Sorry if I missed anything but I really do appreciate your comment. It's nice to see I'm not the only one that thinks like that and good luck on the subs.
Big things coming csg if ya don't know. Top grading company 18 plus years in comics and coins etc. partnered up with funatics and eBay grading. That tell you where there headed. It's a no Brainer enough said. CSG is future will be top 3 in grading very soon..
Oh very nice reveal. The look of those slabs is so nice. The plastic they use is as clear as water. Looks fantastic. Just subbed. Keep up the good vids 👍🏻
I'm glad I stayed up! Lol. ...First off, great reveal and grades! Second, those 2004 Upper Deck Vintage Pop! Love the look for sure. ...sincerely very happy for you and that stack of 10s! ...and lastly, 250 thousand cards still? Have a great weekend my friend!
New subscriber here. Fantastic video. I love grading cards. Like you, I wish SGC was a little cheaper. It has led me to CSG now that they just got the new label. I ordered a single last week to get one in hand, and I LOVE it. I'm looking to try a bulk order myself. To submit, do you have to join one of their membership levels? Thanks for sharing. Can't wait to see what else you submit.
Thank you, much appreciated. Yes, I had to get a membership, did the cheapest one they had to try them out. You can't beat the price and with the new look it's a perfect option for me. Thanks for watching, I really appreciate it.
your really good at screening your cards especially with 30 yr old cards, been with csg since day 1 but dig the changes, there strict if ya got a bad eye ha gotta have good centering and really check your surface
I actually use those for all my slabs and top loaders, I have a video on them. I put them in sleeves right after the video, have to keep them looking good.
Great that you can again grade stuff like this with the prices beeing at $12. And given the quality of the slab and label, its a great deal. Dont think they would grade much less if the would make it $15, would still be a grade deal
Thank you your vids are always spot on. I bought my gmas collection from the fam trust and have never graded any or sold anything going threw and prepping 1,000s of hof rcs in sleeves and sr1s during the last 10 yrs or so i think im gunna give them a try. do you know if they do starwars movie cards or batman.. garbage pale kids ? ty SUBBB well earned
I’m using csg I’ll be putting up a video when I get mine back.slabs look great ,there grading is on point with the other big 3.the pricing is great.the only reason the price point on resale is different is because the older guys that have everything slabbed through psa are going to keep trashing csg to protect there assets.plain and simple .eventually it will change
Forgot to ask, have you ever sent in vintage to CSG, I had a local collector tell me they are really harsh on cards pre-1970. Kudos to donating to your daughters school.
i like csg for vintage some complained they overgrade for vintage i think thats bs, they are fair they go by there scale, they seem more focused on centering and surface then corners when it comes to vintage imo
I have a link in the description for the loupe but got the rest of the stuff off Amazon. Any good magnifier works good, I recommend a 10 power lens with lights. I hope this helps.
CSG labels are much improved. $12 price point, puts the grading fee into more of a realistic option. Your opinion do you like SGC or CSG better ?? I like the “ Tux “ with SGC. Grading price point is too steep. Label graphics of SGC, is something to be desired. If SGC could get into the $8-$12 grading fee range, update the label. My opinion they could cut into the PSA market for more high end card
I'm just curious why you would waste $12 to grade a card worth 10 cents. Rule of thumb to me is card value needs to be a minimum of 4x grading cost to justify time, effort, and money. Why not just keep the dollar bins cards in toploaders?
I like the grading game and testing myself in learning what to look for. I don't mind spending $12 because they all go in my PC. I'm not into the value as much as a PC thing. Maybe my grand kids can get the money back in 20-30 years 😆. Thank you for the comment, I'll probably leave the $1 cards in toploaders in the future.
No, those slabs look cheap af. I wouldn’t grade my library card with those guys. Almost as bad as SGC. But if you don’t care about increasing value, to each is own.
