Great accurate and detailed video Danial! It's very true about the quad tips I don't think people realize how much of a difference it makes but the quad tips are very important to kill most of the drone if going for an aftermarket exhaust, or in my case straight pipes. It's like you said, you can still hear a little bit but it's not crazy, before when I had the regular rear bumper straight piped without quad tips, the drone was significantly louder and it would just amplify it into the cabin with our pipes being behind the bumper and above the outlets in height, you could hear it all the time, but it's nearly gone with quad tips and the way mine are set up to stick a few inches outwards, the more out, the less cabin noise. I actually think the majority of the FB groups prefer very quiet exhausts, and quite a few people have went back to stock muffler after going aftermarket (but it should be pointed out none of them were on quad tips which is probably why they felt it droned a ton which I saw were the complaints, I'd agree with that) I understand many people don't want something crazy loud though and just want to hear a refined tone and that's okay too. We all own some amazing great sounding machines! 🤗
I have Borlas on mine. It makes most of its sound in the low end. Just deep. Not much growl. That what I hear from the cabin. In upper revs I don’t hear much different over stock. I don’t can’t say much from the exterior though. Down shifts are much better than stock. And there’s a subtle burble when off throttle. No drone at all. Don’t have quad tips either. Compared to stock I’ll say its a better sound in general but not really louder. In the future I may delete the x pipe to get a little more out of it.
I just got my Corsa Exhaust put on and I love it!Sounds Awesome! Next is my ZZP cold air intake then the tune.Still debating if I want to get blow off valves.
How much louder or "more" is this exhaust over stock? I have never heard a stock one other than my 2014 and I am thinking I may need to get under there and double check I don't already have an aftermarket exhaust. It, as I call it, shrieks between 4500 and redline and the down low is barely tolerable to my ear. I love the shriek, it sounds very exotic and have never heard a V6 at WOT that I liked better. It pops and burbles and all together sounds like the one in the video. I sometimes wish I could hush it down on the interstate much like you.
Hard to say how much louder. But just look under the back of the car. Stock muffler is one big rectangle. After market will be two separate small mufflers
I have the V3 and the exhaust is not loud enough. Looking at the Corsa Extreme. I used to live in the Washington Manor area as well. I recognized the school. =)
Awesome video and very detail, can you make a video on how to install a front bumper/grille camera video and combine it with the cue system. Pretty soon I will be getting my carbon fiber kit from WeaponX and I want security when front parking. Plus this would be great for a project.
Thanks for the suggestion. MVI has an add on product to be able to add cameras. It doesn’t work like 2016 OEM system but it’s better than nothing. If someone near me wants to put one in I’ll film it!
@@JetFuelOnly I recently got the VAVA dual dashcam and I was thinking of putting the rear camera on my ATS v between the grille. I am concerned about the heat here in Texas
You can use the rear appliqué video to get you through most of it. Once it’s off you just disconnect the camera from harness or the harness comes off with it. Can’t remember. There are no aftermarket options. Note the 2017 I believe added a second camera for surround view. You can’t add that if you didn’t have it already. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-qbMp7fh8taM.htmlsi=V0_XU_hWBdSWHYek
Good video as usual... but when your on the hwy on the rear bumper cam I think you may have to much timing or not enough fuel you can hear what sounds like detonation and see the puffs of black smoke
If you go to 4.38 in that video it could be static but around that time of possible static I see black smoke blow for a quick sec during the acceleration
Sounds Great! You pulled a risky move Speeding through CV like that. Highway patrol loves hiding right under that overpass. I'm from SL. So I know those freeways.
@@JetFuelOnly Still in the East Bay I have 2012 CTS Performance so I was looking at the Vsport for an upgrade. i might just get a Escalade because I want to be able to run stuff over. I have 97 Z28 6-speed that I'm building so I really don't need another fast car. lol
Can’t say that I know. Only have known of people running the Corsa axle back exhaust designed for the VSPORT. Those who have run just muffler mods often use magmaflow, Gibson, or Paradox
Just an update: the Corsa exhaust pipes are considerably wider than the base CTS’s pipes (supposedly only .25 inches wider but mine looked closer to .5 inches) so that required some adapting at their connecting point, but otherwise it fits into the space and mount to the exhaust hangars out the box… and makes the car considerably louder.
Yeah, but try the same with a MZB or BMW. The most expensive things on the Cadillac are the magride struts, the timing chain and maybe the sunroof. The other tough part is no one knows how to work on them very well.
I believe turbo smart is what everyone uses. However remember there are no gains to be had really unless your stock ones failed. You also need them in full recirculate setting to run right and with that there’s less “whoosh”
I was wondering i want to get a air intake plus a lil sound to my xts I cant seem to find things an recognition? Yes more in the luxury side but still lol
I have a few videos of winning against 392s. We are well matched when the VSport has a Trifecta tune. New Schmity tune would probably be quite a bit quicker
ATS-V with a tune will leave 392s in the dust. 75% E85 ATS-V with intake and downpipes and fuel upgrades just ran 10.2@131. Fastest tune only ATS-V on drag radials 10.8 I believe.
I don’t know. I gave up with exhausts on a V-6. Put one in my now sold 1987 Grand National and put a Corsa in my F-150 eco boost. Your just not going to get that njce V-8 sound. I currently have a Corsa in my 2006 H2 6.2 V-8, now that sounds real nice, no drone at all. The F-150 has really no drone either but just doesn’t sound deep. Sounds more like an import.....yuck! I’ll leave my 2014 3.6 CTS alone. Maybe one day get a CTS-V. Those sound nice right out of the box. Again a V-8. Otherwise nice video with the different mics, well done 👍.
