Watch the senior men test themselves against the fearsome Struggle climb from Ambleside to the Kirkstone Pass in the UK Lake District, Sunday 29/10/23, in the National Hill Climb Championship.
this is my missis account, but i just had to drop a comment & say what brilliant footage of what looks like an amazing day out, its the best footage i have seen of this event & i would just like to say thank you m8, you really captured all aspects of this hill climb challenge, well done, i myst train for this & come back & have another go, its not ridiculously steep but just seems to go on for ever when you ride it, last time i done it the head wind was brutal & there was no were to hide or grab a rest bite on parts of the course, apart from drafting behing a rider in front but if they wernt going fast enough & you overtake then the wind would remind you that it was still there...........byt still a great day out.
BIG IT UP for Hamish Armitt #380 coming 6th place - WELL ABOVE his placing out of 480 riders with bib position correlating negatively to your expected finish time - re: #480 Feather went last because they expected him to finish first - not the worst of the worst in the Brit pico pero PICANTE climbs
Big event, big crowds! And the video gets the atmosphere of it all, especially when the riders were following close on one another or passing at the end of such a long course. (Why does some fellow think it clever to turn up brandishing a giant asthma inhaler, presumably left over from the years of baiting Chris Froome? Seems to me insulting to the competitors, and not remotely funny.)
