Its the weather that makes them worse. Less rain or snow + earlier warming means drier conditions. 20 years ago someone flicking a lit butt out the car window would do nothing when it hit the moist ground. Now when that happens it's dry enough to spread. Then once the fire starts, there is less rain, higher winds and decades of bad fire risk management practices and building codes that don't mandate adequate fire protection in wildfire areas.
you're absolutely correct.... everything is "amplified"..... but it's based on human carelessness. that IS the literal definition of what is going on. however, lighting strikes _do_ happen, and then they do.... it's amplified.
I am Canadian and it doesn’t go against my values. Jamaica Mexico Haiti and a dozen other countries have serious crime problems. That alone does not meet the threshold for asylum. They need to deported and apply for immigration through legal channels
