Deion just made this place so much more attractive to football players. Beautiful campus, great academics, beautiful surrounding area, and a great head coach. Its a no brainer now.
Wow we probably went to the university at the same time for a while. I transferred to CU in spring 2010 and graduated spring 2012. Now I am in my home country, Korea. I miss those years in Boulder.
@@freshappleseed6966 Before I moved to Boulder, I lived in Los Angeles for about 5 years. People in Boulder are kinder and nicer compared to those in Los Angeles.
@@lettermines I see. I live in Los Angeles as well and can agree that ppl in L.A really arent quite as friendly as many think lol. It's one of the reasons I want to leave. Would u say its easier to make friends(genuine ones) out there?
@@freshappleseed6966 Yes I think so. As a non American and international student with poor speaking skill, I didn't have a chance to make American friend in California. However, once I started the first semester in CU, I got friends from each classes I took. In a class there, I had a classmate from California. I could have been a true friend of them long time but I moved back to Los angeles soon after I graduated and later to my home country, Korea. The classes and material were hard, but I had good time with good people there.
I live in California and I am a senior applying to CU Boulder for college next year. I love the campus and Colorado as a whole and I want to major in film since they have a good program. Hopefully I get in, I love this school!!!
When I studied in The Economics Institute at The University of Colorado in 1981 I used to go to Tabor Inn (nice meals). I loved UMC and enjoyed each building on campus, Folsom Stadium and of course Flat Irons all the time. I lived first in Varsity Manor then in Williams Village. Grettings to CU. Very nice video !
Dear sir, any tips as to how I can get into an economics course there. I have 18 years of experience and now want to pursue economics and finance. (7 years of finance exp)
Colorado native and have always loved Boulder and loved walking around the CU campus. Back in 2011 I was there for the 420 rally. Imagine 20,000 plus students, all packed together in the main courtyard and blazing it up at 420!!! The biggest cloud of smoke ever rose for the heavens! It was such a wild and fun time! Great memories!
Love the campus. Grew up in Colorado and that was where I thought I’d go to college. We moved my junior year out of state, but when I applied my senior year, I got their biggest OOS scholarship. It’s a shame that even with the scholarship, I would’ve had to pay roughly $40k
Hey there! I’m going through that whole process this year. I’m out of state (Texas) but Boulder is for sure the place I want to be, but to attend, I definitely need some scholarship money. Any advice with how I navigate the scholarship process?
I am Korean. I graduated from CU Boulder in math spring 2012... It was quite hard to handle all the home work, exam and class material, and I wondered if I was ever going to make it. But I finally made it. Now I am in my home country, Korea and miss there.
@@nompoo3115 thanks....it was quite a while ago when I gradiated...but when I think of the time..I still feel somewhat excited.... I took only 4 classes for the most of the semesters. I transfered to the 3rd year from 2 year college in California...so I needed to handle a lot of upper level math classes as a math major student..so I thought I couldn't handle more than 4 classes in a semester. On top of that...I was not native in English. Did you also graduate from CU Boulder?
nowadays out of state tuition is through the roof so before applying, live in Colorado a year or so to qualify for in state tuition... the extra year of maturity will help alot as well. CU '77.
Yes! I’m a 4.8 student, but CU-Boulder isn’t super competitive as a public school and if you have good recommendations you should be fine! Really nail the essays and writing supplement, that is a huge part of your application. Also make sure to apply yourself and connect with staff there, you want them to remember you :)
I registered on the computer and I wait for my entry into the campus. Because I am a developer of programs also known as revisions, I wait when you are ready to show the world why you adopted me as a child and the honorary name given was Cowboy, and I understand the rules always show respect and I am allowed everywhere except the women's dormitory. We laughed about this when I was on the phone and I wait for my transportation there. I sent an advanced network to you for Wyoming but now I advanced it further but like all revisions it gets expensive so don't wait to long for the students to graduate and gather around the area to show the world why Wyoming is the way of the past and the new future.
I graduated from CU Boulder 11 years ago...I wonder why many of the staff in this video look so familiar to me...have they stayed there from the years I went to the school which are 2010. 2011 and 2012?
Hi. I am Tu Anh. I am a reporter of Vietnam International Television. Currently, we are producing a new program named “Portrait of Vietnamese people”, which introduces successful Vietnamese figures around the world. This is a 7-9 minutes program and will be broadcasted on Vietnam Television International channel (VTV4). In this episode, we will feature Mr. Tam Vu, who is an Associate Professor in University of Colorado. This should include some video footages about University of Colorado, where Mr. Tam is currently working at now. We would like to use some footages of this video. Timecode: 5:30 - 5:35; 6:49 - 6:52; 7:02 - 7:13 I do hope to get permission to use these video footages, and the credits will be shown as per your requirement(s). Thank you so much for your help, Best, Tu Anh
I love how they don’t mention how epically awful the football team is, my sophomore year we had about -55 rushing yards the entire year. We ran backwards more efficiently than forward…millions of dollars in the program to run backwards
The buffalo tradition is horrifying. Dragging such a beautiful wild animal to parade in a football stadium in chains is unacceptable. The things humans do to animals.. Please reconsider this tradition!
TheLastMohican it depends on what you want to go for. Engineering is very competitive and I’ve heard business is as well. Basically, if you’re going for CU’s stronger programs, it’s harder to get into, and if you’re not, it’s, well, not. Exploratory studies is easy to get into.
I’m honestly considering CU to continue my education 🏫 towards an architect then becoming a civil engineer 👷🏾 for my hometown state and many more i already earned my carpentry degree 📜 I’m a 3.0 student @ the lowest always looking for more to better build 🇺🇸 🔨
