I got lucky one night about 25 years ago when I wandered in to An Chistín in Carraroe and it was just Johnny Óg and his legendary father Johnny playing tunes and playing for dances. I sat next to them both for about 3 hours and it was without doubt one of the most extraordinary evenings of music I've heard. As hard as it is to comprehend Johnny is even a more polished player now than he was then. The fiddler is wonderful. This is arguably the best programme of music being produced, great job to all involved.

Brilliant playing, but I would expect no less of Johnny Óg who is doing his brilliant father proud. I only wish they would offer English subtitles for those of us whose Irish heritage did not include the Irish language. Still brilliant video.
