Welcome to Mehl's Mountain Garage. This time around I'm working on my Yard Tractor, a 2008 Cub Cadet LT1045 with a 46" 3 blade deck and a Kohler Courage 20 engine. It's an old tractor, a hand me down from a family member, but a good tractor. It has around 585 hours on it, and is always in need of some maintenance.
This is more of an instructional video, with a review in the middle, so follow me along as I replace the cutting blades, and also review them. I'll be using a Foutry mower blade set, part number 717-1550F. Fourty was gracious enough to supply me the parts to review, install and test. The blades fit, were sharp, with the same exact fit, form, function and design as the originals. I cut the grass a bunch f time with these blades and there was n new vibrations or issues.
