Remove the transmission and take it apart. The b 1:23 lock is bad cinder block. Unpause please the wheel motor. Wheel motor looks like a revolver with pins sticking out will springs in the bottom. My analogy of a revolver I mean the cylinder in a revolver as in Colt 45. You can get this information also online
Just bought a mower identical to this one and its doing the same thing except right side is my issue side. Motor surging as well. Only gave $450 for it and has 550 hours so hopefully its something simple im not wanting to spend a fortune.
@@dufourrichard856 Maybe so it was on facebook but still at $450 if i have to have it rebuilt or a new one i should still have a decent mower for around $1k..... fingers crossed lol
I rebuilt one and doing so noticed a gear had cracked, so it was only a matter of time til it let go. I believe I paid four fitty two years ago for the right side hydro motor.
My rzt 50 is supposedly non serviceable and sealed, however there is a plug on top of each drive unit. Takes 5/16 (?) allen wrench. Check oil level if unit is cavitating, (growling ,not moving well). Add 20W50 , fill completely. Replug, purge air by running engine and pushing lever forward and reverse a few times with drive engaged. Recheck oil, fill to top. If this doesn’t fix issue, central unit inside is probably in need of replacement. $115.00 on Amazon. Not hard to repair. Many videos on you tube.
@@wallacelepage1108 Yes I think I saw a few videos on that, I was looking into it. Didn't really want to do it. I was helping a guy out and I didn't offer a rebuild as an option, only replacement. They had them for 250 on eBay but he didn't want to do it...plus pay me.
