You need a cattle panel in an arch shape. I fixed 3 together. I want cucumbers and the indeterminate tomatoes climbing. Another youtuber has pole beans hanging down to just walk under to pick. Check it out to make it easy on you.
Danny, as a young boy I learned how to drive on a Farm All Cub Cadet tractor on grandfather’s farm. I remember it had an offset front axle, a PTO, and he had a bush hog mower. When I asked if I could drive it, he said “boy if you can get it out of the shed without hitting something you can drive it down to the house.” Great memories.
Mr. Danny you are a treasure. It's too bad that you and farmers like you can't teach classes to young farmers and give them the gift of your experience.

You know, my people always grew corn, beans, and squah/pumpkins together. You have to plan in stages. Your Hopi corn is about tall enough to plant a variety of vining squash or pumpkin around the corn to block out the weeds. The corn needs to be about 2 1/2-3ft before I'd plant pole beans. At this late of a season, I'd just do a fast maturing pumpkin or squash. Cinderella or Early Prince or Japanese Kabocha all take about 90-95 days. Granted, these are hybrids...so not something for seed saving.
@Deepsouthhomestead Danny you mentioned the other day how the hospitals dont want to treat you because you dont have insurance. I rarely go but had to see my doc over a ear issue I was having. They made me take a you know what test. Over ears. That werent even infected. Told me they have actually had tests come back positive over ear issues. They just wanted to get more money out of my insurance, that if I was paying out of pocket for, I wouldnt have done it. I also have heart rhythm issues with no reason docs can find. But your hint in porchtime makes a ton of sense. Ty for that. Hope yours settles down. I sure enjoy you and Mrs. Wanda. Thank you for all you do.
You said that you had just come out of a drought. Gums and Maples are some of the earliest turners along with elm and poplar. drought stress will cause that to happen earlier in the year. The early leaf turn is common following a droughty summer or summer period.
Glad to see the original muffler on that. I don't know why but that wrong muffler always bothered me on that tractor, and I'm not a purist. I know I was one who commented on one of your first cub videos about that not being a correct muffler.
Danny, next time you feel like crude on the bottom of the lake, try eating protein like Meat, eggs or peanut butter. You might be having a low blood sugar episode. You need something to balance your blood sugar but stays in stomach longer. By the time you get the hospital, your body could have righted itself that they don't see it. This can happen when you eat sugary food or fruits. Your body over produces insulin and drops your blood sugar to fast. It can mess with your eyes too. Then ask your Doctor about Hyper- Insulinimia...
I'd say if you want to prove your point, pull soil samples around those peach trees. I think there is something else going on with your peach trees. I'd want to say that there is something different in the soil.
I'm not into tractors, but watching the joy in your face fixing the tractor was special and totally enjoyable. I'm also relieved that all those new fruit trees didn't completely die. Your videos are a blessing to watch. Thank you
That's not Pigweed/Lamb's Quarters/Goosefoot, LQ has multiple rounded edges on each leaf. Possession weed . . . never heard of it! Actually the Lamb's Quarter/Pigweed/Goosefoot is GREAT. It's a poor man's spinach and ALL LIVESTOCK WILL EAT IT. And it's good for you to eat as well! I bought the Lamb's Quarter seed on ebay and collected seed (lots) and now am planting it everywhere. My grandmother knew about Lamb's Quarter 50 years ago. It is beneficial - desirable. Easy to grow, easy to harvest, just pull the plant (with a main trunk) right out of the ground, shake dirt off, throw it to your critters! Even chickens and rabbits will thrive on Lamb's Quarter, and save you a ton of feed! Eat it yourself, it's delicious!
I am hoping you're feeling better. soon. Don't let them tell you nothing is wrong. Have them put you on a halter monitor for a week so that they have a good reading of your heart. it wasn't until they did that they found out I have a heart condition that didn't show up until I was on it for a week. Agreed. I wrote mine for the week. I had tachycardia a lot, but only pushed the button once indicating that I didn't feel good. At follow up visit, Dr said I was tachy. I asked what was up the one time I pushed the button. He said "Oh, that's A-Fib." Thanks...
Will the grass growing around the fruit tree method of mulching work with Bermuda grass? We were told our Bermuda grass will choke out our fruit trees if we let it keep growing around the trunk.
I'm glad you mentioned the leaves. I've noticed the leaves turning and dropping here in the lower "west side" of SC. I just don't know if it's from drought or if we're gonna have an early/hard winter. I'm just watching the coats of the cattle and horses. They'll tell me more than the weather guessers.

When mowing the grass in his orchard, my grandfather would never mow within a couple feet around his trees. He used your technique of allowing the grass to grow up around the base of the trees. He said it helped to try root system. Always had healthy fruit trees.

Boy did your Cub bring back memories. My grandpa had one just like it. I remember him giving us kids a ride on it on my grandparents farm in Missouri I'm 59 so quite sometime ago..lol. I haven't seen the International Harvester symbol in along time around here in Illinois. My dad worked for them for over 30 years. He lost his job and everything, his pension gone. When I can't remember if it was the Japanese or China bought them out. So sad for my dad and everyone else to lose everything. Thanks for sharing it brought back some fond memories.
Our poplars are already turning up here in sw TN. Definitely not normal for this early in the year. Possession Weeds!! YES!! That’s the word!! The volunteer side of my garden needs exorcised!! 😆 I can’t find my volunteer peas!! What do those scuppernongs taste like? Never heard of them. Waiting on dawn to break so I can see if the rain we finally got last night flooded out our fall crop we just planted this weekend. No rain here in a mth and it decides to flood as soon as we plant. Jeez. Will we ever catch a break?

Greetings from 🇺🇸Ft Bragg, NC🇺🇸 area! For the past two weeks, we have been seeing our trees' leaves turning fall colors. At first, we thought maybe the leaves were dying due to the hot weather as it has been 97°-98°+ here for weeks with little rain. However, upon closer observation, the leavss on several different types of hardwoods have and are turning gold and burgendy. Additionally, the autumn crickets have started cherping. We have lived in Tennessee/North Carolina all our lives and have never seen tree leaves change to fall colors and crickets cherp in late July. it has ALWAYS been the first of September at the extreme, extreme earliest and often much later than that. It has been mind boggling to see fall coming in almost 100° heat. We DO NOT believe in all the climate change crap, but I do believe that something nefarious is afoot. A whole lot of crazy weather started after they fired up cern and all the demonic junk that goes with that and it is apparent that someone is trying to manipulate the weather. I never believed that chem trails were real before but after observing things myself and watching a few other channels like Monkey Werx, my mind has changed. It looks like early fall here and feels like mid summer.
