Cuba has been in severe decline for several decades. The government is to blame. The so called expert is a foool. No aid should be provided to the Cuban government it should be removed by Cubans.
Castro is dead. Let's blame Castro for taking the Land of Indigenous people and placing them on reservations in the US. The only purpose of sanctions is to make the people turn against their leaders. And what are Cubans really afraid of? Being taken over like Hawaii. Guess how much Hawaii cost the US?
I feel bad for the Cuban people, having recently visited Havana I witnessed firsthand the daily struggles of the average Cuban, yet they remain strong and extremely welcoming to American visitors.
Even if Cuba was the most capitalist country. If the USA puts sanctions on you it is over. If the USA put sanctions on Singapore in a few years that country would be like Cuba.
Just like if we suffered disaster on the scale they have we would welcome help but these people are cut off from help due to sanctions and suffering because of storms and their government. I believe the world, as a whole, should do what they can and leave politics out of it.
Pray Cuba get accepted into BRICS They then can get market access, infrastructure development and by pass the US Dollar Cuba has a very educated population they can grow rapidly like ASEAN countries where global growth is coming from at the moment
Have you ever been to Cuba? Cubans are not well educated. People who have to scramble to survive every day do not have time for education. All you have to do is talk to Cubans to understand that. Cuba is Haiti with less violence.
The BRICS are a non entity. Travel to CUBA yourself and see the reality of the situation without a change in gvernment there will be no saving it from economic collpase.
Wierd argument this, that US should help Cuba to put it to normalcy to prevent immigration instead of preventing the illegal immigration while keeping the sanction.
