@@petegarrido5406 The descendants of Africans came to the Caribbean with their drumming traditions and song and dance structures. Those descendants tweaked these musical traditions over time, giving new flavors and giving birth to the contemporary Cuban rhumba. In the 50s and the 60s, the Cuban rhumba went onto the African homeland to re-influence various African contemporary music. "Back-migration" perhaps best describes the _bidirectional_ trajectory of Afro-Cuban musical traditions and their interaction with Africa. 🙂
