The wide variety of whistles you hear on these engines is amazing, from Banshee whistles to Crosby 3 chimes, Nathan 6 chimes, a few 5's, and perhaps one of the most curious, a Norfolk and Western Hooter!
I admire your ability to differentiate the different whistles and what is more name them! With my non-musical ear I just enjoy the sounds of these magnificent machines. I started taking video so I could capture the sounds, something not possible with still images. Most Cuban steam locos are of US origin so it is perhaps not surprising you recognise the distinctive whistles.
