Cuban Crisis 2.0: Putin’s Warships Dominate Biden’s Backyard | From The Frontline
On the 15th and 16th of June, World leaders gathered in Switzerland to discuss the war in Ukraine except Russia was not invited. Instead, Russian President Vladimir Putin proposed his own conditions for peace in Ukraine which includes Kyiv withdrawing its troops from the Eastern regions of Kherson, Donetsk, Luhansk and Zaporizhzhia. Putin also wants Ukraine to give up on the bid to join NATO. At the same time Russia sent 4 warships to Cuba to send a message to the United States and President Joe Biden. Russia’s Kazan nuclear submarine and Admiral Gorshkov frigate conducted missile-fire drills in the Atlantic Ocean. In response, the US Navy deployed USS Helena to Guantanamo Bay in Cuba. Putin’s show of force rattled the United States which had first denied that there was any threat from the Russian vessels but then had to send their own nuclear submarine along with a Canadian warship to keep tabs on Putin’s warships in Cuba.

I've been trying for 30 years to get surgery for intestinal blockage. That insurance won't cover. Yet doctors are all happy to pacify me with exspencive pills, but I want to be able to eat real food again and live like if I was human. Could have had some help by now, with as much as has been spent on linzess. That may work, even if having blockage is one of its first things it warns against. The free world is not free. The title is wrong, It should be 'NATO's warship'. I wonder how USA would react if Mexico joins a military alliance with Russia or BRICS? After the world war 2, NATO has expanded significantly to the east, yet they're blaming others. According to NATO "Any country has the right to join any military alliance they like" Then what would be the reaction if Cuba or Mexico joins with Russia and places nucs near US boarders? If this madness doesn't stop from both sides, the whole world will have to pay the price. At the end innocent people are suffering because of these insane polititions. The war in Europe is not a world problem, there are much more useful things do in this world than joining a useless conflict that they should resolve themselves.

There has been a vacuum between the US and Cuba for decades. I've long wondered why Russia and/or China has never even attempted to fill that hole. We have had that stupid economic embargo against Cuba from the 196o's, resulting in poor conditions for the Cuban people. I don't understand why Russia or China never intervened to counter those sanctions and helped Cubans economically. Even now, those warships won't help Cubans feed themselves.

A tug is also a salvage vessel and used to guide a very high quality submarine into the berthing area. In an exercise a variety of vessels are trained on since they are all needed.
