I am quite old, but would love to learn this dance. It looks like the man's movements are quite minimal compared to the woman's. (an observation, not a criticism). I am sure I could learn the dance, but could I do it?
That's true. Men are the leader of the dance and most of the time leading the movement of the follower. Hence follower would move a lot. They compliment each other just like the foundation of a man an woman in life

I have been trying to learn salsa . For Couple of years now. Very beginner level. from variety of videos i have seen .. their dancing is most enjoyable to me. Simple and in the moment . but then again i am a beginner, so who am i to judge :-)

Soy mexicana y en enero viajamos a Cuba , mi novio y una pareja de amigos , uno de ellos es cubana ,ya radica aquí en México desde hace ya varios años. no niego que bailan muy padre ,llevan el ritmo por la sangre!, pero nos trataron super mal desde que llegamos a el aeropuerto nos gritaron tiraron llaves , no nos daban información nos enviaban de una persona a otra o sea literal creí q nos iban a golpear en algún momento , la chica q recibe los pasaportes me grito la verdad hasta me espante, allá no son como nosotros en aspecto de saludar , buenos días ,hola , algo de cortesía no! se te acercan a querer sacarte dinero , a pero no les gusta que les des monedas nacionales que es el CUP , ellos quieren moneda CUC que vale más , cuando les dábamos dinero nos decían" no esto no sirve para nada y nos empezaban a contar sus historias de carencia, pero entre otras cosas como la falta de internet etc , cosas de las cuales nosotros estamos acostumbrados pero eso ya es otro tema , en conclusión no nos trataron bien , el servicio es pésimo ,pero bueno esa fue nuestra experiencia en la Habana. A parecen q siempre estan como enojados o de mal humor , pero creo que ellos son así para ellos es normal ajaja
