Nice, Man. When we go back to older cubase versions, the gm maps were so...poorly designed. Today, everything becomes possible. What i find incredible with cubase, is the fact that, no matter what you are trying to achieve, there's always a function/shortcut, to do it. Steinberg has spent over 30 years, adding and improving a ton of midi stuff, it's not a surprise to have such advanced midi editor, midi tools, midi logic editor, midi articulations... Like the tiny little 'chorder' plug-in, that most people will launch, think 'oh, just another midi piano '... when in reality, that's a super powerful tool. With a little time and patience, one can easily create a ton of chords, that we can use like the xfer chthlu plug-in, or any other tools that allow 'press 1 single key, play 1 chord'.. And it's even more powerful than the other tools. . Because it can handle different velocities. We can program it to play 3 notes, if we press c3 between 0 and 30 velocity... 4 notes if velocity is between 31 and 60... 5 notes if 61 and 90...7 notes if 91 and 120.... We can create a preset with 40 notes, each note with 4 or 5 different chords.... 1 preset for complex jazz chords, 1 preset for different scales... different min/maj7/sus/etc chords... It's something everybody should try. Perfect when we are previewing different sounds on a new instrument, and don't want to mess with 8-note chords. Ps. WhIle editing the gm preset.. i think you can edit several items and once, by making a multi-selection, with ctrl or shift key...?

Got some of it, started to lose me near the middle though. Thanks for all your knowledge. I get inspired just watching a video or 2 of yours. Always gets me thinking outside the box.

Interesting video. Can Cubase be setup to play live two instrument at the same time. Like, play piano with the right hand and drum pads with the left?

Hello. You're the only one I've found that is using a MPK88 with Cubase, so I look forward to your input. Question: Is there a way to map drums from different kits, to the pads at the same time? For example a kick from one kit, and a snare from anoth kit... In essence building a custom kit. Thanks so much for your time, Dave

Hi, thanks for your video. How can i reassign pads (from midi keyboard) to others vst instruments (no groove agent) in cubase 12?

After watching in full and trying it all out, I have to ask... Why not just use chorder to assign samples to other triggers? Is the drum map route just more organized visibly? I plan on reassigning aLOT of drum samples into my new MPD218 and I found the Chorder way a bit more efficient. Thanks!

Nice! This way I can play drums on the computer keyboard! Thank You!!! Do you know the best way in Cubase to replace waves soundshifter pitch shifter plugin? I tried to automate the pitchcorrect transpose but didn't sound good. I saw that nuendo's got a nice pitch shifter. But I didn't find any in Cubase. If want to make a kinda whammy effect I have to bounce the audio to be able to do It through offline processing

Is it as convoluted in other daws? I've only used cubase and don't use any drum sampler just because all the hassle of setting up, I just drag samples into the sequencer directly... :(
