In this week's Cubase tutorial, we take a look at how to use Fx Tracks to apply reverb to your lead and back up vocals. It is a good technique to save processor because reverb is a time-based effect. It is also good because it makes it sound like all of your voices were recorded in the same room. So, I hope you all get something out of this tutorial and if you're interested in checking out Cubase, take a look at the links below:

Thanks, Even though I knew all of this already, I just enjoy the way you explain things, easy to comprehend. Keep those Cubase 9 vids coming. Still trying to wrap my head around the Sampler track. Hope you will put that on your list soon. Thanks, I subbed. Peace !

Thanks for the comment! I'll definitely do a sampler track vid once I wrap my head around it too! I'm still trying to decide when using it would be better than using a dedicated sampler like Groove Agent SE or Kontakt. Those are both way more powerful than the sampler track. My assumption is that the Sampler Track is for when you need something quick and you don't need to mangle it up too much. But, once I figure it out, I'll post one for sure! Thanks for watching!

I definitely can see the benefit of the sampler track as compared to groove Agent. Just to be able to drag any sample from anywhere into it and basically make a new instrument from that sample, without leaving the project window, having it instantly playable, mapped across the keyboard, alone is a no brainer for me. Now all I need to do Is get my hands dirty with it. What are your thoughts on Halion 6?

I am a Kontakt guy. Never used the Steinberg sampler. I'm sure the integration with Cubase is incredible, but I use a lot of out of the box libraries and it seems that most of the best ones are made for Native Instruments.

hey man, i subscribed a few weeks ago, and i've already 'devoured' a few dozens videos, specially the cubase ones. I'm about to upgrade to 9.5 pro from 9, and i enjoy watching your very interesting and funny videos. please keep on bringing them. an idea for a future video : i wonder how each cubase user uses some particular plugins. ex., the midi plugin called Modmachine. that thing can create some Unique effects. have you used it, were you able to create some crazy new effects with it ? i hope more people will subscribe, you deserve it.

Hi bro - really could do with some help. I like to add a delay also. Do I just do the exact same? Instead of just adding the reverb and track name as such, can do I do both?? Thanks.

Again, another very useful and helpful video thank you. One thing though, in elements I don't think you can send the fx channel output to a group channel input but I suppose that won't matter too much because both the fx channel and group channel outputs are going through stereo out right? Also I'm assuming that you dont have to just apply a reverb to a group of backing vocals, you could also add a global ex, compressor etc to them all too? Thanks again man really helped me out alot.
