You two aren’t bad at podcasting, advise adding the cards you are talking about on the screen for listeners to reference. Also cut out the outside distractions (turn off alarms, less off topic banter, etc)... learning steps

About Regal Leosaur. I don't think it can work in any environment. Boros aggro archetype relies too much on cheap humans (most white 1-2-3 drops are humans) so you too often don't have a mutate target. It's too clunky. It feels much worse that Bushwackers for example. Also try Heroic Reinforcements in this slot. It's a much better and gives Boros what they want. Also it's a pretty okay card on its own (4/4 hasty power is at least something and helps to kill planeswalkers for example) and fits in a lot of different archetypes like Young Pyromancer/Monastery Mentor/Murmuring Mystic/Saheeli spellslinger decks.

I have tried heroic before, and it has the same problem, it is clunky... and bad in the early game. I was hoping that leosaur would have the upside of just filling your curve on turn 2. Alas, Skyknight Vanguard, Figure of Destiny, these are what Boros wants. If/when we cut leosaur I will probably bring back integrity/intervention for agro, or solar blaze to help jeskai control decks.

@@cubefortwo Lightning Helix variants (Integrity and Ajani) are always welcome, as they okay picks for both aggro and control builds. I personally play Reinforcements in place of Boros Charm which I find too narrow and boring.

I dont think you should remove Zulaport Cutthroat for Bastion of Remembrance, as neither use the comparaison in order to determine if the latter has to stay in the cube or not. You should in fact jam all versions of them if you support the archetype.

Are the two of you drafting in a 2 person pod? If so, how do you do that? I wanna playtest stuff but COVID makes group sizing tough...

@@cubefortwo After watching that video and listening to this one, Cube for TWO suddenly makes a lot more sense! Great video on pancake drafting

@@Hogarth012 you can try grid drafting as well, but it works better if it is set up for 4 people and you each draft two decks. And of course there is always winston draft.

No wonder you have been disappointed by Sea-Dasher Octopus. Your cube has zero blue 1-drop creatures. In any cube with 3-4 blue flying 1-drops he's gas.

That is a fair thought; generally our blue tempo decks splash another color for their creatures. blue's 1 drops are so bad, might as well play another color's. But you may be right.
