Ferromex has the best sounding and maybe the loudest air-horns going. A great and enjoyable 10 minutes there Pedro Gonzalez Gonzalez, thanks a bunch. Pete 379.
Ja!
Wonderful video! Since I will never be able to ride in the cab, this is the next best thing, THANKS! I'm assuming a fixed mount was used so either the engineer operated it for himself or for someone else not in the cab during filming. Do many more please! You have a big responsibility, not just sitting there for the ride.
that’s very smart at 6:05 how in Mexico they build sidewalk crossings. the only time that happens in the US is if the sidewalk runs parallel to road with it. nice video!
I don't agree about the American horn pattern for this line of tracks, basically all railroad crossings are at least marked, most have some form of light and bell indicator at all inner city crossings. But as I watched this video, the only warning the public has is in the hands of the engineer. You have to lay on your horn well before you get to your crossings, you had young males crossing your line at all places. No, I think you did a very good job protecting the citizens and you Railroad company you work for. Great video, please identify your Locomotive, show us if you can, and please post more of your railroading adventures!
There is no "standardized" grade crossing in Mexico. Crossings range from a crossbuck with a stop sign to traffic lights or flashing red lights ( non standard crossing signals) to full gates. Most of which is not maintained or completely non functional. Motorists just ignore any warnings as they are not regarded or enforced as traffic signals. Guadalajara and Mexico City have many many non working crossings, a pretty sad state of affairs especially since the physical railroad is highly maintained.
@@railfanaiden9094 Two longs, a short and one long. US, Canada and Mexico. But can be "enhanced" for a busy area as in Mexico with non-working crossing signals

@@tonebone2895 My question was....what is 'illegal' about being in the cab of a locomotive unless it is an event or on display. It might be illegal to trespass without permission....but it is not illegal to be in the cab with permission.
7:29 Al 7:35 Cruce (Vías) De Ferrocarril Guadalajara Las Vías Del Tren Es Un Buen Lugar Para Tomar Fotos AVISO: NO Estes En Las Vías Cuando Viene Un Tren
Nice cab view! What do people not get about a railroad crossing? When the gates go down, the bells are ringing, or you hear the horn, you are supposed to stop! I wish people didn’t trespass as they do much on the railroad tracks these days!
