One of the funniest things I've seen for ages. Could be titled The Adventures of the Reluctant Belayer and a Grumpy Second! I particularly enjoyed watching you flailing around on Kings. So much so that I watched that section twice.... ; )

Thanks for the memories..... I am impressed that I used to climb these sections myself, with reasonable enjoyment for the most part 30 odd years ago.....including with my wife ( now ex-!). It looks much harder now.....I wouldn’t lead it, my days are done. Happy days though, thanks for sharing.

Good film looks like you had a cracking day. Did the window buttress and in pinn south crack (first trad climbs for me) about three weeks later. Happy days, hope to see more videos

I've never climbed the TD Gap, can you see it from the top of the great stone chute?

I think the answer is yes but it's been a good few years since I've been there now so cannot confirm for sure.

is it possible to complete the ridge walk without the climbs? for example, to skirt around each feature. Can you recommend a good guidebook? Thanks for sharing :-)

Hi, there are certainly sections you can do withoutll climbing but no, definitely not possible to do the whole thing along the top without any climbing. Check out the Facebook group 'all things cuillin' my friend Adrian run's it and also is an excellent guide. All the best!

T-D gap is one of the most awful climbs I have ever done. It is thrutchy and horribly polished. I have climed HS climbs that are easier. It is not technically difficult just bloody awkward. In-pinn is a doddle as is the king's chimney. Not climbed Naismith's route yet. When we did our traverse, we missed out the T-D gap and went off the ridge to get to Sgurr Alasdair as this cuts out a lot of back tracking and avoids the bloody awful climb. We also missed out Naismith's route which meant a long slog to bealach Am Basteir up the scree. Next time we will defo do Naismith's route to avoid this torture.
