More BTU for wok cooking is not critical. 50K BTU is not too bad but I prefer at less 70-80K BTU but if it does the job and give me a jet engine torch, I be happy for some outdoor home cooking with a wok.
Thanks for the video , curious to what u think after having it for a little; also it kinda looks short/low for the average person from an ergonomic standpoint. Thoughts ? Seems like the heat btu is good though ?
@@kenchan529 I’m a fairly tall guy so it’s going to look low, I haven’t had any issues with the height of the burner. I like it, the only issues I have are kind of petty, one is the stamped part around the burner, it holds rain water. also if you don’t know what you are doing with a real wok and a real hot wok burner you are going to burn stuff really quick I found having a large pot near buy to act as a wok holder and place to put “slop” I cook each plate individually, so I deglaze and rinse the wok between dishes. Then dump out that water into the pot, and set the wok on the pot as a holder. Short answer? I like it
@@rodheng8781 it will burn the bottom of the Wok to bare steel, I didn’t notice an excessive amount of soot under the burner but, there is a considerable amount of oil spray / spatter which gets all over the place, if using on a wood deck or untreated concrete i would put down a cheep rug in front of it
@@mrhydrojefe I like it a lot, it gets super hot as it should to get proper wok hei. I admit I haven’t actually used the included wok yet my only observation is the stamped recess around the wok burner has a tendency to collect rain water, I contemplated punching a hole in it but, then it will just leak onto the shelf below.
@@11THEFEZMAN11 you had more trouble with complaining about the heat and then have a cigarette in between the video and complain more. And I fast forwarded the video!! If you didn’t bitch about the heat and fuck this and fuck that and waited until the sun started going down, the video might have been more useful.
