There’s something extraordinary about the landscape of north west Sutherland. Utterly captivating, especially when you can see it so clearly. Wonderful! Best wishes Murdo
My goodness, your walking videos are so good. This is my favourite part of the Highlands. Suilven (4:14 distance) is my favourite hill (or should they be called mountains?).
Hi Malcolm, Thank you, glad you enjoyed this one. Top, Hill, Mountain.... it doesn't really matter the title just get on and do it 🤣 There isn't a poor top in this area as they all provide stunning views 👍 Cheers
I thought I knew of a bunch of different ways up that one, you go and add another! Lovely video of a favourite area. I did it just after the covid lockdowns to get some fitness back, taking the standard route skirting Creag Dubh and over Meall Dearg.
Brilliant I did Cul Mor last year that was fantastic so I have Cul Beag left to do so thanks for sharing the video looks a fantastic peak as well but they all are in that area cheers take care
Hi Craig, We've had a good few days of weather that's allowed us to get the views from the classic tops. Not the highest but certainly spectacular. Cheers
Hi Guys, wow, what views you had just absolutely beautiful, I don't think there is anywhere better in Scotland when the weather is like that! Although, what am I saying, there are plenty areas that are equally as good when the weather is like that! Haha All the best Dave
Hello, There is a single car parking spot on the RHS about 4km along the Stac Pollaidh road after you cut off the A835. Hopefully, it'll be free of a camper van. Cheers
What a superb video with such stunning views! 360° breathtaking! Thanks for sharing Charlie! The weather and the views can‘t be better than last Tuesday. Cheers Wolfgang
@@charliemccartney7055 Hi Charlie, I know - I‘ve hiked Marsco (360° of awesome views) on Monday and the Elgol peninsula on Tuesday. I hope for similar weather in the coming days. Cheers
Another great vodeo, Charlie. Thanks for posting! Brought back a few memories when my partner and I climbed it back in August 2000, although we ascended from Loch Lurgainn, which looks like a much shorter walk in than the route you took. You must have set off from the A835 at or near Drumrunie.
Hi Rosa, Yes, we left from the A835 as there is a single parking spot that we have used before. Very handy for this route, just got to hope there isn't a camper van spending the night 🤣 Cheers
@@charliemccartney7055 Thought so. 🙂 What a great little mountain this is, though, with unparalleld views back to Ben Mor Coigach and Stac Pollaidh, across to Ben More Assynt, Conival, Cul Mor, Suilven and Canisp, etc., etc. Any plans to climb Foinaven, _the_ most beautiful mountain in that part of Scotland? (Can't remember if you've already done it.)
@@RosaLichtenstein01 Rosa, We don't have plans for our first attempt at getting onto the tops further north. Certainly a possibility on our next visit to Ullapool. Cheers
We did that one 2 years ago in horrendous conditions. Wet and very windy! No views at all, so it's nice to see what we missed. A great hill with fabulous views. Thanks a Charlie.
