Nice! I hope you'll let me know what the Isamaya lipstick is like - I'm curious about their formula, especially given the... *ahem... slightly more striking packaging of some of their other lipsticks 😂
That outrageously priced Dr. Barbara Sturm calendar also includes hair clips as one of the "full size" items. I need blood pressure medication just thinking about how mad I would be if I paid US$600+ for a calendar and one of the days was two little hair clips.
Allergic to the Votary Eye stuff - had to give the last one I had to my sister. Can’t wear pink eyeshadow, makes me look like a sick rabbit. Have so so many Bum Bum creams, sigh. Couldn’t take a chance on getting a lipstick colour I would actually wear. So I’m happy to say that I’m saving my money on this one. The Cult Beauty Christmas edits are coming up though, and I can never resist at least one of those.
I saw an advert for Dr. BS on RU-vid the other day. I always imagined her to look like Margaret Thatcher but she’s very glamorous and trendy. Another entertaining and enjoyable video, thank you! Xx
Hi there! I agree with you on this bag of tricks edit, it's such great value for money and at least different products from the usual ones. I'm not going to pick this up because I just splurged on the new Rituals collection but I hope they make more edits like this in the future. 😊
Ah, you picked up on that!!! *Pulls out planner, and flips pages to November (I know; I'm weird enough to write them all down). 1. Biggie Biggie Beija Flor 500ml (If I can't get that, will settle for Biggie Biggie Bum Bum) 2. Mixsoon Bean Toner, Laneige cleanser, and half a dozen (or more) lip tints (Lilybyred, Romand, Unleashia, Clio, Etude, and Peripera, for now) - hopefully there's at least $25 worth YesStyle points.... 3. Multichromes (OF COURSE) - at least one BLACK-to-red. Devinah Cosmetics OR Terra Moons. Would like to try one new brand, so buying more from Clionadh and Pastel Roses will have to take a back seat for now. Both Devinah and Terra Moons have a black-to-red shifter apiece. As does Copacetic Cosmetics. Decisions, decisions.... 4. Lancome LVEB Rose Extraordinaire, or Idole Now. The former's winning because of the pur-ty bottle! 5. Kayali Yum Pistachio Gelato. Only 10ml, to try out, but have heard lovely things. 6. Back-up bottle of Oxygenetix foundation. That's the list so far... will see if I can sneak in a nice luxe lipstick as a treat!
@@CosmetopiaDigest no, it's very smart, I should write them down, too, as I always forget. I've been eyeing Lights Out black-to-red for some time, but with my level of skill, IDK if I could wear it, lol. I want to buy Moda Moda shampoo (it's an innovative Korean shampoo against gray hair, Odile Monod wrote about it). And, ugh, a new generation of Satisfyer with the liquid air technology (I was actually thinking about buying an adult toys calendar as beauty didn't impress me this year). Also maybe some minis from Pat McGrath with those tiny lippies and glosses, she should have a good sale.
I'm really enjoying the Boots 3 for 2 offers!! They have a huge selection of stuff. And you can really save some good money w those. Got some skincare sets, bath products, fancy hand cremes, make up. I also got a Frozen mini nail polish set 😂and one of the minis looks like a dupe of the latest Chanel holiday polish.
I totally agree with you. I did not think any of the advent calendars this year was worth it to me as I own so many of the products already and because there was such a scarcity of eyeshadow palettes - I know I am in the minority probably but I like that there is usually a luxury eyeshadow palette included. For that reason I did not buy any of the calendars but did buy this edit as it is much more to my personal taste!
Hi Renu, i was just looking at this today but I already own the ND love palette. So I am still thinking if i should get the LF calendar or not? Maybe it its sold out, I do not know😂😂
It looks better than the advent, I don’t like that the lip colour is between 3, there’s really only one I’d probably wear. I have the palette and it’s not the better one, I think one of the original ones would have been a nicer choice. It does seem fairly good value though
I already own the ND face palette. It has been on sale for just 20£ multiple times. I have that silly lipstick too. And who needs a plain boring moisturiser... I find this very disappointing
It does make you think they are just getting rid of old stock, although still worth it if you're going to use the products! I need a few more heads as have way too much! I've bought harvey nichols and clarins advents.
I don’t think this edit is worth what they claim and quite expensive for Cult Beauty. It’s a shame that some of the sizes are minis and not full sizes. The Bum Bum cream is the new Phillip Kingsley Elasticizer. It’s everywhere!. lol. I did pick this edit up with discount and credit. I wouldn’t have bought it otherwise. Love your thorough review as always Renu.
Couldn't they send ANNNNY of the other SDJ creams instead? They have four or so others now, so no excuse! Enjoy your edit, especially that palette, and do let us know how you get on with the Isamaya lipstick!
Probably banking on a lot of people not checking advent calendar contents before buying. So they chuck in a lot of repeats etc. These edits are probably aimed at people more familiar with beauty and since the products are all revealed they have to try harder to impress.
That's a great explanation - you're right; the advent calendars are more likely to be blind buys, so they can get away with minis and repeats. These are for those who follow Cult Beauty, or subscribe to emails, or buy more in general, so they're a bit more careful.
