I'm looking to add a classic BMW to my collection. Right now I only have 4 cars; an Exoto Ford GT40 MKIV, a CMC Ferrari P4, an autoart Porsche 917k and a Mercedes 300SLR by some lesser known brand that I got for free. The doors and hood opens on the Mercedes and it has quite a bit of details so I decided to display it alongside my more expensive models. That being said, what BMW should I add so it doesn't look out of place? All the cars I currently have are 1950's, 1960's and 1970's models and I'd like to keep it within that range. I am considering the 2002 turbo and 3.0 CSL. Any suggestions?
Wow the CMC Ferrari P4, that is a beauty! Not much BMW models that we can think of which would match your fine collection. Have you considered adding a 1/18 transporter? e.g. Schuco Martini 0317 Porsche Transporter That would look ace next to your 917, and your race car models might even fit within the truck! If you're hell bent on a BMW, the Norev BMW 507 1/18 would be a nice add from the same generation. Hope this helps!
Kev likes them but EC is lukewarm on them. Regardless though this is probably the best 2002 turbo model out there when compared to Minichamps, Kyosho, Modelcar Group in our opinion.
