I love to hear someone express how awesome endings are. I just wish more shows could get an ending right

Yeah no I’m so tired of hearing about these mysterious, nonexistent people who “just” realized the satire was about them or who thought homelander was the “hero of the story.” I haven’t found a SINGLE person who actually thinks that way and trust me, I’ve been looking.

People realised the satire was about them a long time ago, but if the satire is packaged into an entertaining, subversive story, people are more keen on watching it anyway. I stand behind Critical Drinker about the 4th season all the way

He's getting worse and worse because he's aging rapidly. It's to show that since he was a test that they didn't perfect him, his whole schtick, to be better than everyone else

To sum up homelanders "arc" as him getting "worst" is like saying Darth Vader's arc is him taking off his helmet to speak to Luke. Homelander goes from being a shitty guy that does horrible things, to getting deep into his mental state as a tortured child made in a lab and programmed into needing human connection. To now, where he's over-coming those restrictions, no longer needing approval by anyone ans trying to brainwash Ryan into becoming a second him with no flaws that he suffered from That argument lays next to that Scottish drunk guy who formed all his opinions from reading poorly written reviews without watching the season

Every one knew the satire was about them! But the quality of the show was good enough for them to put that aside and enjoy it. The quality just isnt worth it anymore.

Butcher and homelanders story ends in season 5 so it will be their last dance till death does them part

Agreed. It is getting too tiresome. It should have ended by season 3. It's always the same gimmick. New badguy comes in, bad guys team up with good guys, good guys fight withbthrir friends over sone dumb crsp, and then they kiss and make up.

In previous seasons, the satire was targeted at both sides of the political isle (granted, from a leftist perspective). Also, the targets of the satire were legitimate. They hit the fringes of right-wing that deserve to be criticized. However, now the show is taking a very clear anti-conservative stance, not just anti far-right. At the same time, it diluted it's critic of the left and it's fringes. That's why some right-wingers are mad, not because "they finally realized the show was making fun of them". The cope level of those who claim that is insane
