Rice mixed with sugar and milk, yoghurt or fermented milk is a common dish in Zambia. Its a traditional dish in southern Africa and goes back to long before even the white man arrived here. Back then a native variant of African wild rice (Mpunga) was usually eaten sweet, with dairy products or even with pounded nuts. But nowadays we just use ordinary rice. A wheelbarrow is easier to push than a cart, because all the weight goes to a single wheel, and you also get less friction from one tire instead of two. Also, they are more maneuvarable in tight spaces, ideal for busy city treets. The main challenge is balancing, and you can't carry that much weight. But you'll be surprised how much weight those guys can fit on a single journey. They can stack crates up to several meters high. 😅

About 15 20 hours you say that eating plain rice with sugar and milk is a habit. No, we all eat rice like that at times. It's cultural and I urge you to try it. You will love it

Am surprised that eating nshima and sausage was strange to you but in southern Africa it's not a thing to be shocked. Rice pudding shouldn't shock you, Google the recipe. Am surprised you want people to cut your vegetables or meat just buy a knife problem solved. Any way your culture strikes me as odd, but I guess it's your opinion. Good luck in your travels

Thank you… i guess what you strikes you as odd is just a culture shock for you as well 🤷‍♀️ We live and learn different cultures, that’s the whole essence of going to different places.

1. You don't know the meaning of culture shock and you the way the Kenyan way of living isn't a world standard please we have seen terrible things in Kenya. Please travel more and I wonder if you leave in town or village as standards differ. People's diet varies all over the world don't put standards on how People eat what with what. Little knowledge is dangerous just observe as you travel comparisons with your traditions tend to be impolite in most cases. Zambians are not imitators.

@@bruceaongola2820 please make it a habit of reading the dictionary but since you are not able to let me assist for today.👇👇 Culture shock refers to the feelings of disorientation, anxiety, and stress that individuals experience when they encounter a new or unfamiliar cultural environment. It often occurs when people move to a different country or region, or when they are exposed to a new cultural context with different social norms, values, customs, and practices.
