A short Vlog detailing how to reach and explore the legendary Culver Hole, situated on the coast of Port Eynon on the Gower Peninsula.
Hidden in a rocky cleft near Port Eynon, ancient Culver Hole cave is sealed behind a 60ft stone wall dotted with mismatched windows. Believed to have been built in the 13th century to house pigeons the Indiana Jones-esq structure holds a bounty of smuggling stories.
According to local legend, it was used by powerful local brigand John Lucas as a storehouse with tales of a secret tunnel - big enough to ride a horse through.
Parking is available at Port Eynon Beach (£4 for 3 hours or £6 for all-day) and the walk to Culver Hole via the Salt House takes around 30 minutes.
Culver Hole is only accessible at mid-low tide so check the tide times before you depart and aim to go at low tide.
