We rent land a farm right out in the sticks which doesn't have power up and running. My husband bricked it when he was there with me one morning in pitch darkness cos of the sound of horses when I whistled and they came running. Behind the fence and gate but he physically stepped back and went Shhhhhhhittttt” cos you heard this distant rumble turn into a deafening thunder but couldn't see a thing until several fat heads appeared 10ft in front giving it “Hiya.... we're here”
I love how beautiful the horses looked but I wish there wasn't music. I would've liked to have heard the clip clop of the big horse hooves and the sounds of water.
Croxches Glad you understand 👍🏻That's exactly why I chose to put music over the video as it would have been a full video of just the noise of wind which drowned out most of the noise from the horses unfortunately but I did try and keep a little in some places 🐴
James Thomason I get that. The music isn't bad at least.. and that's simply one of the most beautiful areas! It's so magical looking with the big feather-hoofed horses and the green mountains in the background.
Gopros are really bad at picking up sounds so all you would've heard is the wind, maybe some chatter here and there and the horse grunting/snorting. Also the horses wouldn't have made "clopping" sounds since the surface isn't hard it would've been more of a slushy sound.
Awwww man! Just watching this makes my chemo side effects better. Heavies have a wonderful canter to ride. Sigh. Cheers from Ottawa, Canada. Maybe one day I can come over. ✌️💪😎👚💕🇨🇦
It's places like this I envy. Living in the US is wonderful, but UK is such a beautiful place! I often watch these videos and realize how depressed I am to live where I do. Those beautiful rolling grassy hills, the oceans and beach. Little stone houses, and beautiful stables! Also watching equestrians do show jumping is amazing. I cannot afford to jump or do any sport with my horse. One day, I really want to travel to Scotland and explore it's beautiful sites, and maybe gallop on the beaches with the salty wind My UK people, and fellow equestrians: be thankful and happy you have such an amazing privellage to do what you do, and live where you live. ❤️❤️
I have done that it's so cool, I was in the woods with my mom and we wad horses like those in the video, it was amazing we started galloping and I just let my arms it was so cool and beautiful. Horses are so magical creatures, my horse was like the horse in brave.
I rode with you guys way back in 2013 or 2014, I can't remember exactly when, but it was the most amazing experience! Sadly we didn't do the beach ride, but I've promised myself if I ever visit Cumbria again, I'll be booking a ride with you straight away! Such stunning, sweet gentle horses, all really loved and well looked after ❤
I had the chance a few years back to ride two Percheron geldings, half brothers, gorgeous boys and there was an open riding meadow/nature area that was just down the road from the barn so we rode out there and then did like a Key-Hole type race on them. I was terrified at the idea but once my horse took off, it was like riding a thundercloud. It was amazing!!!
Me and my pony would both have the biggest smiles on our face if we had the opportunity to do that. I would bring a lunge rope just so she can walk around in the shallow water. She would loooove it.
It's videos like these that make me wish we had beaches like these here in Finland, but if we did then every person living near the beach would start complaining and horses would be banned from setting foot on them. It's been happening with all the good beach like lake shores that used to be for dogs. Now they are for people leaving dogs nowhere to swim. As if we horse people didn't have enough problems with farmers chasing us riders with tractors on public roads.
Big beauty's, gentle and safe to ride even the most inexperienced persons can enjoy the heights without risk. It grieves me to think how uniquely personal they are, how much given humanity, carried our burdens the centuries, helped to feed the nations in time and yet in places aren't fully realised whata treasure. Good natured giants who condescend to bring us higher in emotive feeling as pleasant associations. France should catch this tourist market on their own beaches and preserve these draft horses for noble purposes and profit the sweet justice in it, as well.
I have all 3 breeds and they are wonderful 😍😍 Edit: thank you so much for the heart! They all live at the other end of the country I live in so I can't see them much but I love them 😭😍❤️
