Common rain Cummins tappet install without string and plug fishing. The tray is never rotated or pulled and the tappets are always on a magnet making this a very safe way to install tappets without dropping them into the engine.
Fabricated Tools
1-3/4 exhaust pipe, cut in half, expanded with 1-7/8ths socket (anything just shy to 2” in diameter will do the trick to expand the tray)
5 1/2”x48” wood dowels
1 3/8”x48” wood dowel
5 min epoxy to secure magnets
1-7/16th x1-5/8thxHR Handrail from Home Depot ( about 4 ft)
Rare earth magnets (.25” diameter, Menards)
