It's weird: I started watching you, never really seeing anyone having tics in public before, then Sunday, I happened to see a woman ticking like crazy at a shop I was at. She was blinking really hard and throwing up her left hand and whistling. People were staring, and all she was trying to do was get some shampoo. Her right hand was on a bottle, but her tics were preventing her from picking up the shampoo and putting it in her basket. It was so strange to see in real life. I offered to help her and she was grateful, so we picked a shampoo and a conditioner! No mention of anything, nothing else was said but a thank you from her. It's not funny, and you are not circus freaks to be gawked at. Offer help when you see this. Just do it. Don't laugh, don't stare, just be kind. Please.
Aw thank you for helping her! I'll be you made her day. The world needs more people like you that are willing to help rather than stare. I'm so proud of you 💜
truth is, nothing else had to be said, that was it. peaple should just normalize this kind of behavior, insted of just expecting to get any kind of prize for doing the lesser thing you can. and also, a person with tourette must hate to explain everyday a lot of that that she has a sindrome etc...
Actually... yeah. Tourette's can be like this. Mine is, anyway. The more you think about a tic (for example, thinking about trying to stop it, or worrying that it might happen) the more likely it is to happen. When I was a kid my mom tried making up code words to say instead of "tics" and "Tourette's" because whenever someone mentioned it around me my tics would act up. (This didn't work. Since I obviously knew what she was talking about, the code words had the exact same effect.)
It’s interesting that you tic a lot less when you’re singing. My friend when I was young had a lot of ADHD but when she was reciting lines for the school play she was so calm and focused.
my friend has tourettes but when she is reading from a script and there is one of her trigger words in it, she doesn't tic at all because she is focused on the acting
@@lydza9762 same here. My roommate doesn’t tick when she’s gaming, but the moment you talk to her she goes “Meep meep! Woosh!” (She can replicate that roadrunner sound effect so good, it’s ridiculous).
I have Tourette's syndrome and life is 10 times harder than it is for everyone else. Simple tasks become difficult, I am so grateful that you feel comfortable enough to video your tics and then post them. Whenever mine happens I get beyond embarrassed but I love the way you're comfortable enough to be yourself, even on camera. You're such an inspiration to me.
We have yet to understand the advanced methods that our animal colleagues understand our (human) emotions. Our animals deserve our respect, just as we should respect each other ❤️🙏🏼
I love how you just laugh off all of your tics. I bet you get this a lot, but I just want you to know you really inspire me. I don't have Tourette's, nor do I have tics, but you still inspire me to make the best of any situation and just laugh it off (because sometimes laughing feels really hard). 😍😚
I don't have Tourette, but I started to suffer from vocal and physical tics few weeks ago after a nervous breakdown. (I'll have to meet doctors to check about those.) I somehow manage to not tick when I'm drawing.
If you don't mind me asking, what kind of things do your tics get excited over because I've seen them get excited over many different things haha? Love the intro too btw. I also want to mention how amazing you are. You have had many bad moments with your tourettes and even other issues but you still manage to stay positive which I find fantastic. We love you Evie. I hope you have a wonderful life 💛 💗
hm good question! if something happens really fast often the adrenaline of it makes my tourettes go a bit nuts😂(like my mum flipping the cups everywhere) and aw thank you so much!💕
@@thistrippyhippie Thanks for replying I really appreciate it. Your tics must just have a frantic trigger haha you should name your tics so if they're being particularly annoying you can say shut up Barbara or something lol
I’ve watched nearly all your TikToks and I just want to say don’t let anyone let give you shit about who you are or what you do. You’re brilliant and amazing. Keep going!!! Edit (27/11): Uhm chile that’s a lot of likes.
Hey look at you with your new intro, all professional looking & stuff...does this mean you’re an “official Tourettes educator” now? 😉💜 edit: you have no idea how anxious I got watching you building the cup pyramid 😂
As someone who's just recently developed tics, watching you makes me feel a lot better. Funny thing is I used to watch you before I even developed them aswell XD
Don’t pay attention to the haters, tics and Tourette’s is a very real thing, don’t think it’s a bad thing, all you have to do is embrace it. And I know, it’s harder than it looks, I also have tics. Just embrace it and love who you are. Thanks again for showing people how hard it is to live with. Thanks queen♥️
Its fascinating to watch and I applaud your honesty. I am a lifelong stammerer with ticks and I can appreciate the exhaustive amount of efforts it takes to control it. Understanding and excepting people as they are is the key and posting videos like this really helps. Your are a beautiful fun spirited girl and I wish you much happiness in your life. Be yourself and enjoy life. cheers
I laughed out loud when she bit the table because that's what my 4 year old son does. He bites me and then kisses the bite mark and says sorry momma 🤦🥴 kids....😂❤️
I'm glad my kid never got into biting. But he does like to kick my ribs while were sitting down together. Or tackle me or surprise choke me. I'm like woah you gotta chill I'm a girl. So he's learning to be gentle.
@@astird0458 😂 my son chokes me too. He thinks it's funny when my face changes color. He too little to understand but I'm slowly teaching him to be gentle too.
@@salokinnavri1829 I have a tough time discerning when people are laughing with someone rather than at them. To me, this sounded more like laughing at.
i miss you!! my bestie has corona and since i hung out with her then i have to stay home for 2 weeks and it is already so depressing... but your videos! they're so uplifting and i can forget about myself for a little bit and just laugh along with you
I'm so happy you're abble to laugh about yourself... Your spirit is an example for all ! Most of people always complain about themselves... about there little diseases... but you, you're so strong ! Your smiles are the best lessons to every one (Sorry for my english.. french are bad ;) )
Ilysm evie I'm starting to watch you and everytime I feel so bad that you have to get through this I hope one day they will fine a cure for this syndrome and you will recover from it 🥺❤ ily evie
