One detail I love is with The Devil battle. In most of the other fights, the animation plays with the chosen brother heading to the Astral Plane while Ms. Chalice takes center stage with smiles on their faces. But with The Devil, the brother looks just as scared as Ms. Chalice does.
I think its actually really nice that unlike The Devil and King Dice who probably learned nothing really from being beaten, Chef Saltbaker actually did, making friends with everyone via community service and rebuilding his bakery himself to make treats for everyone. Really sweet ending.
@@killmenowpleasee for me, still strange that SUDDEN redemption (and the fact that how did he got normal after getting destroyed), but ok, i will pass it
@@umrayquazashinyapareceu1672 It just like JoJos, some enemies after fighting them, they look you with respect or simply see you fighting for a better good
If you didn't know, his evil grin at the end of cutscene resembles Coachman from Disney Pinocchio. If you saw this movie, you probably know what I'm talking about
i think the chef is so unnerving because unlike every other character in the game, he doesn't have solid color eyes. he has actual irises and pupils instead of the solid black cut-in eyes that we're used to and i think it spooks people internally
It's nice to see more people recognize the change in style when comparing the main game and the DLC. Both are still very similar but the main game has a more 20s and 30s animated feel (like Steamboat Willy or Fleischer Studios) while the DLC looks like late 30s to mid 40s (Like Disney's Fantasia or their early films)

The fact the player couldn’t get past ‘The Howling Aces’ without being susceptible to 1HP while in every other boss fights they managed to at least maintain about 2HP goes to show how difficult the level is; mostly when the screen decides it wants to do backflips.

Imagine if Nightmare Cuphead appeared as a "Superboss" of sorts? Basically he would be the hardest boss and you would be forced to play as Ms. Chalice in the fight. Obviously he would be using much stronger versions of your attacks against you. A special cutscene would play where Ms. Chalice asks Cuphead what happened to him and why he is acting like this but he doesn't answer to which Ms Chalice repeats her question which only angers Cuphead telling her with such venom in his voice that the time for talk is over and if she wants him to answer she will have to defeat him. Ms. Chalice then realizes he is being used as a puppet by an unknown threat that apparently is far more dangerous than the Devil himself seeing said Devil slumped over on his throne.
Is it my imagination, or does Ms. Chalice hit harder than Cuphead and Mugman? She seems to tear through bosses much more quickly. (Most notably, it looks like her version of the Spread gun shoots five projectiles instead of three) Though I feel like Super Art 3 might have been more useful than Super Art 1 against some of these bosses, particularly Ribby & Croaks, Countess von Bonbon, Grim Matchstick, and the first two phases of Werner Wermin.
I think that since she cannot equip charms, they make up for it by beefing her up (giving her 4HP, she seems to do more damage, tighter movement)! I'm no game programmer so I'm not entirely sure but but that'd be my guess!
I love how the developers added little hearts coming out from the heart cards for Ms Chalice to easily parry and avoid the other cards in the King Dice fight.
@@achillesrage9547 dude this dlc took the creators 4 years of hard work and you decide to be an jerk and say screw it and to make a fully new game, do you realize how long it would take to make a completely new game with new bosses and enemies with completely hand drawn animation that’s honestly amazing, and the creators didn’t need to do the dlc, but they did and it is great, so shame on you for being ungrateful
My favorites 07:03 Baroness Von bon bon 08:45 Beppi the clown 28:14 king dice 32:38 The devil (Final boss) 41:25 The Howling Aces 50:09 Devil & Angel (Secret Boss) 35:11 glumstone the giant
I NEED TO SAY IT >:c Ms Chalice's smile during the 2nd super art animation and when she first comes in is so precious. Her idle animation is adorable. Baby, I'd 100% give her free shades on accident if she sang me a song and did a little dance.
Considering it took me 2 years to beat the main game and I beat the dlc and got the divine relic in 1 day, yeah I think the bosses in the main game are harder.
Ms. Chalice’s Plane attack is based off the unused Tri shooter which was the weakest weapon and it doesn’t have an EX attack in the game files and the shots from this weapon were the same as the peashooter before being replaced and the spread
Top 15 hardest cuphead bosses 15. King dice 14. The devil 13. The root pack 12. Chef saltbaker 11. King dice + 10. The moonshine mob ++ 9. Isshin, the sword Saint 8. El' faunta 7. Dinamo (Megaman) 6. The devil + 5. King dice ++ 4. Hitler 3. Chef saltbaker ++ 2. Mausoleum 4 1. Dracula and death
Quick topic: Which bosses do you consider easier/Harder with ms chalice? One example of a boss that gets harder is undoubtedly King Dice when you actually get to fighting him since Ms. Chalice can't parry vertically nearly as well as Cuphead/Mugman
The fucking Rabbit In King Dice's fight is so much harder with Ms. Chalice because you can't parry vertically and You can smoke bomb dash through the Ring of Skulls.
I love how in both end credits there are missing characters, like goopy le grande, every single parry based boss fight except the queen and the moonshine mob guy
Fun fact although no one asked: it took me 29 tries trying to kill Cagney Carnation, the reason why is because on the final phase i keep getting hit by that flower thing he spits

I THINK IT FIT FOR USING SPECIAL ABILITY MS CHALICE FIGHTING BOSS ON THE BOTTOM, IN THE MIDDLE AND UP + YOU DID YOUR BEST IN THIS GAME KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK
MGR:R Jetstream DLC: The fighting style has changed slightly in relation to the main campaign. Now it will not be possible to beat opponents with endless combo attacks, but you will have to count on actions in advance and competently use taunt. Inference: gameplay became harder, but more interesting. For me personally, Jetstream DLC is easier than main campaign. Cuphead TDLC: The fighting style has changed slightly in relation to the main campaign. Now parry is much conveniently to use. Dash will parry attacks in infantry mode. Instead of mid-air parry, we have the double jump, that is really good to use. Inference: gameplay became much more easy, but it's still Cuphead. You will still feel difficulity. If I will have chance to buy that DLC, I will.
