TMR is one of the most entertaining, gifted runners I can think of. His run of Cuphead was what I was looking forward to most.

Hello, couch member here! Wanted to give some background on the commentary for the run: Because of just how difficult this run is, where a single hit of damage is a retry, and there's a lot to explain about the category, TMR needed to really focus on the run and wasn't going to be able to explain all the things he wanted explained. I think we all universally love TMR's commentary on games, but it just wasn't in the cards for this category sadly. Luckily, we had a commentary all-star willing to learn the run on short notice and take the lead for us, so I could just add any small tidbits while he could do all the heavy lifting. Blechy learned the whole run the day before while juggling other commentaries and interviews, it was really impressive, and he did exactly what we wanted really professionally and the run was so much better for it. I've been watching him on couches for years, so it was really surreal. If you're a person out there who likes a more laid back run where TMR is able to discuss the run as he plays, you are in luck! At SGDQ 2018 he did a regular difficulty run, which was much more relaxed because he was just steamrolling every boss and it was a lot of fun, you should check it out. It's also a great contrast with this run, so you can see just how much extra skill was involved with getting all the S&P ranks. Thanks! PS - If you've already seen the run, try just watching TMR's hands. I think there's smoke comin' out of that controller!

Amazing runner. Funny thing about this game is nearly 50% of the people who purchased it could not even complete it due to the difficulty.

The commentator in the red shirt is fantastic throughout - especially during the robot section though. Very conscious about the fact that TMR beat island 2 on hard in about 20 minutes whereas I never even finished it on normal in the hours I put into this game...

Isn't Phase 3 of the "theater" fight just a reference to JRPGs, where perfectly "normal" characters suddenly grow 20 feet tall and become angel gods during a boss fight? She even has JRPG UI pop ups!

Over 21 minutes ahead of the estimate, TMR as usual supremely delivers.

I really appreciate the commentary. I've never played the game but know of it and have heard of its infamous difficulty, and the commentator really sets the stage for the boss fights, their forms, complexity, and what TMR is trying to do with each fight. Very quick yet efficiently descriptive commentating.

Man, TMR is such a pro, focused, precise, accurate, etc. The commentary was awesome, the guy doing most of the commentary is so passionated about games, very professional and incredibly informative, my type of gamer, loved this video so much!

For everybody that doesn't know what Sally Stageplays 3rd phase is: She's supposed to be a valkyrie. A ghost like figure from the norse mythology. She's supposed to bring those brave souls, that died in a battle, to valhalla. So apparently, it's either because she died in the battle against Cuphead, she brings herself to Valhalla which leads to her 4th phase as an angel in heaven, or she expects Cuphead to die in the battle against her and is ready to take him to heaven with her.

Seeing TMR is always my favorite part of GDQ and the couch guys were fantastic on such short notice. All we needed was SpikeVegeta and this would be the best run in GDQ history lol
