Wow Jenny, you have poured out your heart. You deserve every success and I've said that to you before. I'm so glad that you are employing staff as it will give you breathing space. Onward and upward...you've earned it because you are building a wonderful business. I started buying from you because I watched a RU-vid video. That was over 3 years ago now. When I look back on my makes probably 80% are made using fabric from your shop, so that's a good recommendation in my book.
I would like to add Jenny ,one of the hardest things is keeping yourself motivated especially when you’re on your own. Having the two ladies in to work for you will be such a motivator.☺️x.
Hi Jenny, I’m a fairly new returnee to sewing after many decades and have a lot to learn about modern fabrics and how to deal with them and about all the lovely indi patterns there are out there. I love your Friday fabric chats, your enthusiasm is infectious. I dearly wish I had a business like yours near me especially now you have a studio and I could learn more quickly. Sewing is a lonely hobby. I totally feel your pain having had my own little retail shop which I adored and what you have achieved since last year when I started watching you is amazing. Keep going, nothing worth having comes easy and I wish you every success xx
Jenny you are an incredible,inspirational woman. So hard to hear that things got so difficult for you earlier this year and so pleased to hear you asked for help as that in itself is not easy to do. We are so fortunate to have you in our lives. Like so many I just wish I lived nearer to you and your shop. I have had to reduce my purchases in the last few months and have avoided watching other businesses showing their fabrics etc but always watch yours as your videos are just so honest and ‘real’. Take care of yourself x

Amazing video Jenny. Thank you so much for your continued authenticity. I found you during lockdown and loved your quietly inspiring videos then, and your Friday lives now, the work you’ve put in so far has been phenomenal, and your shop and plans for the business are amazing, but please do consider how you can look after yourself in the way you would look after any employee - ie., take regular holidays, and allow yourself days ‘off’ every week - ! I’ve been a sole proprietor, and know that it can be so easy to burn out before you get to your ‘destination’! Good Luck with everything Jenny, Your Sewing Studio is an absolute credit to you both! What a lovely video ❤ I ran my own business for a couple of years and it's not always an easy ride. Being on your own and making all the decisions yourself has its ups and downs. I remember hearing a lot of "why don't you do this or that" and thinking how many hours there are in a day...😊

Having run a business, sheer determination and building resilience is key, along with a huge passion for the business and you come over as having all those in spades. You are a joy to listen to Jenny and I too wish I didn’t have the Irish Sea between you and me! We will all do what we can to support you as your business is so worthy off all it can get. Thank you for that Jenny. Deffinitely stronger and I know the future is amazing. Take a break though and take time for yourself - it's probably the hardest thing to do but essential!! It is obvious that you care about your customers and that is, to sewers, very important.
It may seem great that costa coffee have a team of people to refit a store but I have worked for them for 13 years and I can tell you that the cupboard doors start falling off after a couple of weeks, things are always breaking and we have to wait for ages to get them fixed You and your husband have done a lovely job and I bet it will last a lot longer, good luck with everything ❤
How inspiring and impressive you are! I would never have known, from following your videos, that the last year or so has been as tough as it so obviously was. Your new space looks lovely from the view we have here online. I know from our own home renos how hard they can be. But I've never taken on anything of the scale you have. Others who may be facing their own struggles right now will no doubt get great encouragement from what you've shared. You often come out the other side stronger and wiser. Having a business coach and some help in the shop will give you a great boost to explore your ideas and see new plans come to fruition. I wish you every success as you move into the next phase of your business. Can't wait to see what comes next!

Keep the faith- your customers are with you - any personal restraint on my part is purely because of my life changes this year ( brilliant in one way in that I have 3 grandchildren in 10 months but devastating as they moved abroad) and how that has affected my finances. Hi Jenny shame you're not at Harrogate Show I would love to have met you. I will just have to arrange (somehow) to come over to your shop. I'm sure I can fit a camping trip in and visit. Hubby will be with me, he loves fabric shopping, might have doggies (greyhounds, they would make great shop dogs)as well but they can wait outside if not allowed in the shop.
