guys lets give a hand of applause to Wheels he is literally the goat for posting all this awesome content. He's the best! thank you and give a like to him on this exciting game
Cheehoo!! As a Hawaii local, I am VERY proud of the boys and the coaches; one of the most dominant little league teams I've seen for sure. The whole 808 state is proud of them!! Curacao played a great game too :)
hawaii was so obviously the best team this year. congratulations to them for winning it all and curacao + all the other teams on a great summer and of course thank you to wheels for another great year of highlights
Congrats to Hawaii but you have to be just a little skeptical about this team . It’s one thing to win but to win 90% of games by 10 runs is quite strange.
@@brianmeen2158 Hawaii is just aggressive at the plate. Lots of out of the strike zone pitches were swung at. Plus they crowd the plate leaving not much room for inside pitches. Strategic.
@@terryfinn8037 give you a hint.....I know that Aloha Festivals has got the 'green light' this year for the parade.... Unless the mayor will do a little something like put them on a trolley and parade from dtn to hon hale...
@@RobbieStacks90 HAHAHA, looks like YOU stirred up a hornets nest with your racist comment. We are A Great AMERICAN team in the U.S.A. Not necessary to even use the word ASIAN. We are mixer of all ethnic Americans DUFUS. 🤙🤙⚾️⚾️
Imagine being Kekoa Payanal! Being 3-0 in the llws 2021 before losing to Michigan by one run. Ended 3rd place but probably a huge disappointed to not be 1st. He got to be here again which is a HUGE accomplishment but to win the entire llws 2022 after being 3rd place last year? Man, Kekoa Payanal has had quite a time in williamsport!
Much Mahalos to all the team's, coaches, parent's, family members and the men and women who put this whole thing together, and Congratulations Hawaii, way to represent the 808, and all the islanders from around the world, for supporting and watching you guy's from start to finish, from wherever we are!
Hall of fame team right here . You heard the commentators “they outscore opponents 60-5😮💨, one of the the most dominant performances we have ever seen at Williamsport🏆”
I swear the level of coverage for this sport is incredible. These boys are true athletes, I count myself lucky to be able to watch competition at this level. Fantastic to see!
holy moly the amount of times Hawaii got hit, if this was the major leagues, there would be fights. just goes to show how gracious this team is. well deserved championship!
Hawai’i No Ka Oi, Hawaii is the best. Congrats to the 50th state on the big win. Hawaii absolutely dominated. Thank you Wheels for covering the series.
Mahalo from all of us from Hawaii. To be honest, I was happy we did not have to face Texas again. I was like "I guess everything is big in Texas". I always thought they were kinding. Again appreciate you and Texas. 🤙🤙
@@howzt howdy! I think the way Hawaii was playing, they would have annihilated texas. Yup agree everything here in Texas is bigger but I think this Hawaii team would have made us look smaller 😆 lol.
Wow…not enough is said about Hawaii’s coaches. These kids approach to hitting is college level stuff. They keep it simple. Balanced, no needless movement and quick hands. Their load position is nothing more then shifting their weight. Unbelievable job by the coaches.
IF Coach Oda can handle university baseball, apply at uh......even better if he decides to try coaching football......cuz after last night at manoa :((((
@@julianromero4120 I would probably take your word for it. I have no clue where the kids learned to hit. I assumed it was the coaches they had at the LLWS. It’s interesting they all have the same approach tho.
This and the Chula Vista team are easily the best teams ever in LL. This Hawaii team was the closest to perfect you can get. Imagine if they had CF4’s. Congrats
Thanks Wheels!!! Congrats Hawaii!!! USA! USA!! Thanks again Wheels for all you do to cover lesser known fantastic sporting events like the LLWS. See ya for college football!
Chula Vista CA 2009 team is the only one I've seen that comes close, imo. Maybe the '92/'93 teams. Amazing romp through the whole tourney for Hawaii. Well done.
This Hawaii team is grrrrrreat! But to be fair to teams from other years, the 2022 LLWS competition wasn't very impressive, so I'm not surprised by the lop-sided victories. Hawaii faced better competition in the West regionals and the State tournament this year. Even last year's LLWS teams were a better group.
I don't have a favorite team in the LLWS. Seeing these young men play at such a high caliber of athleticism and sportsmanship is really awesome to see. Baseball programs from all around the world and keeping this sport alive is just as awesome! Congratulations to Hawai'i for earning the US and World title, and to Curaçao on the International title!
Fundamentally strong and a true team attitude. NoOne seemed like a star. Great attitudes. Every baseball fan should be proud of this team and how they represented the sport.
12:25. I like umpires like that, especially in little league, middle school, and high school. Even though their job is to basically officiate games, they should still show some affection to the kids playing the game they love.
Congratulations Hawaii for winning the LLWS 2022...since day one this group is a team to bet!...pitching is fire, hitters is incredible, the defense is superb.....that lead off hitter is the momentum changer, coaching staff the parents CONGRATULATION TO ALL OF YOU!😍🏆⚾⚾⚾
They have been coached extremely well as hitters. The elbow pad is a saving grace for them as everyone of them hang it over the plate taking away the pitcher's confidence and zone. The Hawaii hitters dominate the box both physically and with confidence.
I’ve been a teacher at the school some of these kids attend and have known them for 4+ years at school. It’s ridiculous to claim they are older than they say they are-It’s just not the case. These boys breathe baseball and can play it every day of the year here in Hawaii (and they do). Congrats to a great team!
This Hawaii team reminds me of the team from Chicago from a few years ago where they exhibited great, pitching, fielding, and hitting. LL officials later found that they had some 14 & 15- year old players. So, Hawaii, hmmmm.
@@johngarza7601 So tired of these age comments. Since that Chicago team, the LLWS officials have really tightened the screening so obviously, there is no way Hawaii or any other team can sneak in older players. Is it possible, just maybe, the Hawaii players were better?
@@johngarza7601 to my understanding chicago didn't have older players... it was because they brought kids from outside of their district to play with Jackie Robinson west
@@thetrevster6983 mater Dei play football and Hawaii play baseball 😏. Or Hawaii won world title and mater Dei rank #1 team in the US with no national playoff system 🤔.

Congrats Hawaii!! Hard work, dedication, discipline, and all while having fun. Solid baseball from ground up. Hawaii has like three other teams in this age group that would’ve swept the little league World Series as well. 808 built different let’s goooo! 🤙🏾🔥
A shame it has to come an end !! Some outstanding playing & "SPORTSMANSHIP" by all teams !! Had rather watch these young lads play anyday than all those overpaid so-called professionals !! Congratulations Hawaii & thanks to all the other teams for all that great exciting action !! ❤⚾❤⚾❤⚾❤⚾
Great baseball and great sportsmanship from all teams!! Except for Pennsylvania their sportsmanship was sub par, but everyone else great job super exciting tournament!
Great dominance Hawai... Congrats...Very effective tactic of Hawai Coach: ask to his players to bat VERY CLOSE to home plate to pressure Curazao pitchers and wait for the pitchers errors. Congrats Curazao... what a LLWS2022 series. Regards from Caracas, Venezuela
@@yagotta1 At least two of those hit batters should not have counted. The batter has to make an attempt to avoid the pitch, and they made none at all. A lot of Little League coaches tell their players to just let the ball hit them, but that's (a) against the rules, even if umps don't call it nearly enough and (b) unsportsmanlike.
@@puckerings today we saw Curazao pitchers and coaches, didn't make correct adjustments for the Hawaiian players when batting. This require practice and Hawaiians do it again so well. They came well trained to apply it in the LLWS2022. See the game Hawaii vs Tennessee.
Respect to all the Curacao players who played their hearts out till the very end. They left it all on the field and played as well as any team in the world. But I will say that their coach sold hard. From now until forever, coaches are gonna look back at this Curacao team and learn to make sure you have some sort of strategy or endgame in case you get to the finals. I get that you play to win but Burning the best pitcher in the tournament while you led by 5 in the 4th inning will go down as one of the worst coaching decisions ever made in LLWS history.
Congratulations Hawaii, loved watching your game from Toronto Canada. We could use some of you on our Toronto Bluejays team, any volunteers. You made my day,You worked hard and it paidvoff.lookig forward to next Aug games.
@@robertdemoss Na that kid rika was throwing 77+ it would have definitely been a way more competitive game tho I do think Hawaii still would have pulled it out
Hawaii was dangerous from the jump and had too many hitters and pitching. Also, Curaçao wasn’t really prepared for that style of baseball. But hats off to Curacao for for bringing Caribbean style baseball to the World
Nothing wrong with getting second place my brothers. I am so happy to see an African country do well. So happy to see the game growing over there. Hawaii is just too good.
Congratulations to Hawaii for winning 2/22 Little League World Series champions. Now you can tell your grandchildren and show your grandchildren when you was a child that you won the World Series. Congratulations once again, see you there next year and hopefully you could repeat.
Unlikely but you never know The playing field gets bigger and many of these boys - puberty will treat differently, some will grow much bigger and stronger, others will not as much - genetic lottery will have more to say than early child hood resources My guess is most of these clubs come from upper middle class or affluent neighborhoods - the Honolulu team was no exception But who cares for now, I’m basking in the glory these kids have brought to our little island 🏝 you made me so proud!!
@@thetrevster6983 when else should they be good besides little league on a world stage? is there a medium league? i mean theres a few people from hawaii in the MLB and theres only a million or so people in the state. and baseball isnt even really the main sport at all. you seem to have a low IQ… dont have kids please…
The Honolulu boys tend to come from affluent families and go to Punahou, or Iolani, or Mid-Pac, where tuition is $28k/year. By high school they are looking at becoming doctors or investment bankers, and sports doesn't mean as much to them.
A lot of our kids are mixed with Polynesian blood 🩸 and to many, we’re GIANTS especially in baseball. BUT when these same kids step on the football field all of a sudden it makes sense. Nā keiki (The kids) are deeply rooted and show ALOHA each time they play, to be teared down each time for being “TOO GOOD” for their age is mind blowing!! 😳🤯 Congrats to our BOYS for simply being HAMMAHZ 🔨💪🏽
The Hawaii coach reminds me of my high school coach, not worried about the score, only focused on the now - that at bat, that pitch, that play. We made the playoffs my senior year, but did not win the state championship. Looking back, we definitely over achieved. Kudos to every coach who can get their kids to focus on the now.
Congrats to the little guys, good job guys! Enjoy your well deserved 13-3 win. Savor the memories that hopefully will land some of you in MLB, maybe even one day the HOF in Cooperstown NY. 😊
@@itz_angelboii9921 the coaches for curaçao don’t think about the future, only the game at hand, which cost them a chance at winning this little league World Series. I believe it was there game on Wednesday or Thursday they had a 6-7 or run lead going into the 5th inning and they let raijka pitch over his limit to be able to pitch in this game. It was such a dumb coaching move to keep him in the game and go over the allowed pitch count.
@@itz_angelboii9921 even the announcers were so confused as it was happening. They were like “surely they’re gonna pull him after this batter” and boom they just kept letting him pitch. And I think they needed 6 more outs to win the game

Hawaii fan here. Just a shame that Curacao's "best" pitcher wasn't available because I'm getting tired of that excuse for why they lost. Even the announcers were saying that excuse. The only thing it shows is that Curacao was only relying on one player to win.
In games like life you got to play with the hand you’re dealt. Curaçao just ran out of luck not having their ace. Happens with a lot of teams. Unfortunately poor loser fans can’t accept this fact.
Cheeeee hoo Hawaii bangers hard hitters even the seniors. My husband 68 born and raised in Kohala hit 4 HR’s in state senior softball tournament on Oahu beginning of August. They never STOP!!!!
Thanks for the great coverage of the whole series. I made the all star playoff teams every year I played Little League. These young guys today play a game of which I am not familiar. What tremendous talent!
Let’s not discredit Hawaii in the comments because they are killing it all of these kids in this tournament are the same age Hawaii is not cheating it’s not unfair none of that they worked really hard played As a team and have outstanding coaching congratulations Hawaii well deserved stop being bitter they are kids guys
@@Anthony-hu3rj exactly I see comments saying llws was typical and not fun to watch and making it seem like Hawaii cheating it’s not their fault they are way better how about forming a better team because honestly on the other teams a lot of them kids not even that good everybody on Hawaii great even the coaches of course they going to be way better lol
@@kiarakemp9458 I think everyone is congratulating Hawaii but at the same time most familiar with little league realize how truly odd it is to see a team like this.. it’s not exactly likely that you see a local all star team that is heads and shoulders above all other all star teams. You rarely if ever see teams like this. I don’t think I ever have….?
@@brianmeen2158 yea but that doesn’t mean they are cheating because the other teams are not that good to question why they are so great that’s discrediting them
The Hawaiian kids handled hit by-pitch situations way more professionally than MLB pro players. At least 10 of them got hit and none had emotional outburst nor taken it personal. CLASS
First and foremost, THANK YOU FOR ALL THESE WONDERFUL HIGHLIGHTS! I would like to address those here accusing Hawaii of cheating. Unless you have evidence to back up what you are saying, please don't detract from the hard work of all these little leaguers, Hawaii included. No doubt there have been teams that have cheated in the past and I'm sure it's not 100% clean, but that's not the fault of the children. Any and all cheating, if it exists, is the direct result of selfish adults, not the kids. To just blatantly accuse a team of cheating based soley on what size the kids are is just as bad as cheating itself. Let's face it, at this age, discipline makes a big difference. It's not until high school that natural talent and size start to really come into play. This is why a super star in the LLWS may just be an average ball player by the time they are im HS, and it's not that he got worst. Rather, it's just that his peers caught up to him. At this age his body may have matured sooner or maybe a kid is more dedicated to the sport. Bodies change and so do kids attitudes in the time between this and high school. Anyone who's ever played organized sports of anykind knows that the number one factor affecting the quality of the team is the size of the pool the team is drawn from. If there"s any cheating, this is the number one culprit--pulling talent from outside your district. You have to remember, these teams are NOT ALL-STAR teams. They don't have 6 ace pitchers, each specifically hand-picked for that role. If they are lucky, they have two strong pitchers. Likewise, they don't have star athletes at every position like a highly competive travel team. The team that wins is usually the one that has the best overall team, a combination of good hitting and pitching. Hawaii won because they are the most well-rounded team this year. I assure you, not to knock these kids, but the LLWS is NOT an MLB farm. The vast majority of these kids are NOT the best out there. They just happen to be on a team that plays well together. There are many, many much much more talented players out there who just don't happen to be lucky enough to have a solid enough team to make it to the LLWS. For those who don't know any better, they see a kid who's killing it in the LLWS and they automatically think this kid is destined fot the big leagues, but the real truth is, very few LLWS participants have made it to the big leagues. If he's facing the very best pitchers at this age, it's likely he'll not fare as well. In all, there have only been 64 MLB players who participated in the LLWS! And only 3 who've made it to the LLWS, College World Series, and MLB world series. This tells you the LLWS is not the place people should be turning to when looking for future MLB players as the vast majority of MLB players never make it to the LLWS. So please, give these hard-working kids their moment in the spotlight because they deserve it. Don't try to take it away just because you don't like a particular team.
WOW, that is the most clearest and honest info I have gotten yet from ANYONE on RU-vid since the LLWS started. You for sure have done your homework and all of us from Hawaii say "MAHALO" for your kindness. IMUA
Hawaii doesn't cheat, and they are one of the most respectful teams out there, year after year. The only reason people try to defame them is racism. The racists are outing themselves in the comments.
@@bennytherotty totally agree my friend. One guy said he feels Hawaii is like Taiwan and China in relation to Hawaii to U.S. Another guy said, mexico is more american than Hawaii. Another said, just another asian team and not even american. They claim they are not racist, but just telling the truth. How is that for "telling the truth". Seriously sad what people will say about not only young kids , but coming from supposed "AMERICANS". 🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙
@@howzt That is sad considering Little League is color blind. These are children playing a sport they love. They all speak the same language, the language of baseball. It's the adults who cheat and try to sow the seeds of division where there is none. These kids respect one another and many have made frienships that they never would have made had it not been for the LLWS. It's sad that it's always the adults who instigate such things. Sad that hatred and division is something children learn from adults but unfortunately, such is the world we live in. Funny how these FULL BLOODED AMERICANS, the very kids representing this country in the LLWS are somehow not "American" enough. Why? What is it that makes them less of an Anerican. As best I can tell, they represent the very best of what it means to be an American. What more do they need to possess to be Americans? They are US citizens, they speak fluent English, AND THEY LOVE something so,so American--baseball, our national pastime. Un-american? Wow, just wow! SMH
Super talented Hawaii team and I am very impressed with their sportsmanship. Some dominant teams get arrogant and behave poorly, 2022 Tennessee college ball team for a recent example. Hawaii's team is obviously a good group of kids who have been coached and parented well. Congratulations!!

the secret is...........................aloha! if you from the mainland, you would not know. You have to be a longtime resident or born in the islands.
The team from Hawaii just dominated throughout! They outscored their opponents 60-5! Until yesterday they had only given up 2 runs. A very talented team.
