it's a big price to pay to become honest man, having a motto 'i say what i want, i do what i say' because people expect to become like them or you got outcasted
@Mauricio Mayorga feel like I'm being wooshed but you should use filtered water. If you use tap water (which is chlorinated) it should be treated before any fish go in it.
I thought he should have taken the knife with him, or at least walk behind the hostess with it before returning it. LOL There was another episode where he did take silverware out of a restaurant (for his limo drivers leftovers) and got caught and arrested.
I love how chaotic Larry got after he lost cheryl. She used to temper him until he’d inevitably come to a boiling point and blurt something out, but now he just riffs out the gate wherever he goes. Love it, it’s kept the show fresh
It feels like Cheryl-Larry and post-Cheryl Larry are 2 different characters. Each with their own unique features and quirks. Watching an early season and a late season is like watching 2 different shows in a way. I guess the secret is not having a secret and just doing what's funny.
You will forever love yourself after watching CYE. I was watching it today while waiting for my car at the dealership and couldn't hold the laughter in. You can watch the episodes over and over and they remain just as hilarious and often get funnier because they are continuously relatable!
Nah that's like textbook passive aggression. She's clearly mad and annoyed with him, yet doesn't flat-out say any (unwarranted) insults. instead she calmly deflects or slyly returns hostile remarks, does not pursue an argument and never raises her voice. Literal definition of passive aggressive behavior
Quidnatawd Bidness I'd say both are correct. She is being passive aggressive but she's not very discreet and discretion is the key to being passive aggressive as when you bait the person into aggression you can get away with it but she's being so obvious that everybody knows what she's doing. She's shit passive aggressive
The great Elizabeth Perkins, who doesn't always play bitches, but is awfully good at it. Her performance as Demi Moore's best friend, who undermined her friend's relationship at every turn, was probably the best thing about "About Last Night" more than 30 years ago.
She was in Bicentennial Man with Robin Williams i’m pretty sure. She was a bitch at first but she learns to love Robin as he becomes less robot and more human. Incredibly touching movie 👌🏽👌🏽
It's the small details that make this show so great. I just love the look on Marty's face when he realizes he has to drink the water, as well as the fact that his glass in completely full, meaning he hasn't touched the stuff for the entire meal.
Quality of work in the USA is industry standard. Intentionally did not mention USA actors because from Europe there are more than a few good actors but standards in Europe are very low. "Acting without acting" is in Europe:)
@@Daniel-Munozstatus quo. No matter how much he argues with people like Suzie or Ted, the next episode they greet like friends again .... and then another argument ensues 😂
@@qaqsqw Exactly what I was going to comment. There is a definite distinction between "somebody", and "someone". "Someone", although is still considered plural, it feels a little more specific, hahaha.
Well, I mean they aren't sitting across from each other either, so even given the context of some non-applicible foreign culture it still comes off as odd.
@@bradmapson6243it's followed in formal situations (weddings etc). A dinner party at a friends place is casual and the idea is to just break up couples to encourage conversation between everyone and to prevent the formation of small groups within the party. And how foreign is European culture to Americans?
Its hilarious how spineless Funkhouser is and will throw Larry under the bus under most circumstances. It also shows how Larry could never hold a grudge.
nickys34 this was funnier than the clip! Thanks for being a maniac, you humorless psycho. You can’t even separate television from reality! Also bravo if this is a troll
Yeah. Susie Essman is sweet. She really had to be egged on to find the character, the first time she had to curse out Jeff in season 1. I actually think Susie Greene cares about fictional-version Larry too, though. It's almost like a sibling relationship. A really foul-mouthed, loud one. Sometimes they have their nice moments between the squalls.
Actually he's pretty devoid of class, which is part of his appeal to his fans, and he badly mispronounces the expression (and not on purpose; that would take a higher level wit).
"Well Marty likes my water..." "No. No you can't put it on Marty like that. Frankly I think he should be allowed to recuse himself." "What?! No." "Actually... if I may, I think Larry may a point here." *looks* "Well it is more in Marty's best interest for you to be happy rather than telling the... Uh... The whole truth" "Ok then, what did you think of my water?" "Well... I mean this is southern Calfornia. We do have a history of..." "Lary get out." "Me?!" "Yes, you have poisoned my guests against me." *holding up glass "I've poisoned the guest?" "Get out Larry!"
I love how Larry relishes in completely pissing off someone who clearly doesn't like him to the point of getting exiled from the dinner. It's like Larry's version of a buzzer-beater
By the way...... Nice avatar..... Are you guys enjoying Jay Cutler down there yet?!?! I'm a Bears fan in Chicago btw, every single person around here is GLAD that asshole is gone.
No something does look strange with that man I thought the exact same thing and was wondering why his face looks like it's waxy or something unreal. I've seen some 75 year olds who have healthy vibrant skin.. this man looks kind of dead.. it is creepy I'm sorry to say
Dang, he was making jokes for everyone to laugh at, and he gave good critiques, and she sent him home. The only character to bring fun and truth to the place.
ADAM. hahah well it depends on the city/area I think. I used to live in Toronto and the tap there was pretty decent. Same with Victoria in British Columbia, ime. But the tap water in LA is awful
She knew the water was shite, but instead of just accepting that (being hyper sensitive) she expected the guests validation despite the fact that no matter how anyone remarked the water still would've been shite. She was offended because Larry didn't go along with her rediculous farce.
im from england and everyone drinks tap water, unusual to see water bottles in someones house. but i get in hot places and aborad it might be different
Larry's smirk and slow blink when he knows he's implying a point that the other person knows and hates, is my favorite thing about any human being ever
They are always breaking character. Throughout the series you can see they are trying really hard not to laugh. Just like Jerry in Seinfeld. It adds lots of charm. I like it.
Larry David is a social life super hero, he does things many of us just think and wish we would do and react in certain moments just like this. How can you not love this man
I am like this guy, and suffered to lot of childhood trauma. But i was right and still am. Speak what you feel. I recently started being my old self again.
@@fungidungie Yeah it is.I thought it hilarious when I first saw him on the show.I didn't even know his real name,it was just "shit it's Super Dave Osborne!"
My ex had a large network of friends that had a constant rotation of dinner parties. I never really bonded with any of them. It was pure tedium. The car ride home after each dinner was like a debriefing of what was wrong....oh, and it seemed like I "wasn't enjoying myself". One time I told her I didn't feel great, but insisted she go and enjoy herself. After she left I drove to Macdonald's and got a big mac meal. I ate it in front of the T.V...alone and it was a great evening.
