Lol nah. He assumed the privileges of being in that house (uninvited) without any of the responsibilities, and now as payment for being an ass and screwing the actual homeowner over he has to assume the responsibility he shirked without getting any of the priveleges he came for in the first place. It's completely fair imo
He’s kinda right: he has no 9 to 17 job, no need for him to be on time anywhere as nobody will fire him. He has enough cash to live the way he wishes; Therefore he doesn’t identify with that crowd sitting there in the traffic 🙊
That’s how you know it’s a made up excuse and Larry is just covering his ass and using Jeff as an excuse. Bc he knows Jeff will cover him when it comes to Susie.
The "Hollywood Treatment" is entertaining but for a truer portrayal of Holmes, IMHO, watch the amazing Jeremy Brett's portrayal in the Granada TV series "The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes". The episode "The Adventure of the Six Napoleons" brings me to tears each and every time.
The viewer is required to go along with the illusion that Larry David is still in his thirties, still dating and women find him attractive. Not many 74 year olds have the money to pull that off.
Larry and Susie's interaction was soooo fucking good that I had to rewatch it right away! I love how she walked in and she was so laid-back and nonchalant... but in only a few moments, it literally only took a few moments for Larry to trigger the fuck out of Susie! And Susie totally reminded me of my auntie from Massachusetts! 😂 😂 And I loved Jeff's last line, over a shirt... "I'm sorry for your loss," at a funeral!?? 😂 🤣 pure comedy genius!
This is one of the few times I'm on Susie's side. He could've at least gotten the door, she probably wouldn'tve minded him being there if he did that for her
I disagree, he's in the wrong for being there and staying so long, but not wrong for not getting the door. He's not supposed to be there so he can act like he's not.
Yeah I agree. But that’s not how LD thinks. Which is why we love him. He does the opposite of what everyone expects he or what any normal person should/would do.
Its not his home. He shouldn't be answering the door. Whoever came over came for the people living there. They are not there so they will come again another time, call, or leave a note.
Yes I love Vince Vaughan as well in this...the funeral theme throughout seasons, and this season the stain theme...is Larry trying to tell us something?
So I bought the first season to check this show out, wow I didnt know this is a 20 year old show lol Susie didnt dress like this back then. She was kind of cute I might add.
I think I've worked out part of the reason I don't enjoy the show as much as I once did. Putting aside the lower quality of the writing, Larry's just obviously having too much fun making the show. I enjoyed it a lot more when he put some effort into his acting and made Larry the character seem so genuinely frustrated and pained at all the societal faux-pas he was experiencing. Nowadays there's too much of 'wink, wink' sort of vibe he has going on. I don't like it.
