@@zyrrhos i'm pretty sure you missed the point. i don't act like larry, i just wondered why someone needs to be rich to act that way. you either are like that or you're not.
@@johnwedgbury6817 You said that Larry is usually right, that honesty is the best policy. The irony of Curb is, Yes, but... not always. Larry David has talked about this before.
So is the joke that if you buy the bono phone the money goes to african women, children, and gay men with aids? And that the money doesn't go to heterosexual african men with aids? I read the other comments in here but I just don't understand this joke at all.
Kovington Schreiber people used to believe that aids only affected gay men. Larry made a joke, pretending to be ignorant and still believe that. Honestly, it wasn't that well timed, or executed. I think it was used in this scene to start building tension between Larry and the rest off the room, particular Dansen, as it created an uncomfortable vibe at his party.
He met Ricky Gervais in the last season of the show. BUT. He knew Ricky Gervais beforehand and him telling Larry about Karl was probably most likely the inspiration for this scene. That is just a theory of mine.
burial. yes.. lol, i was trying to figure out where i had heard this before, it's pilkington's favorite book, i believe i found it on the internet, it's call "the carnival of the grotesque" by fhm.
Something extremely funny about two super rich, successful Guys just laughing their ass off at the most unfortunate people in the World inappropriately
0:41 Larry: "That doesn't affect heterosexuals right?" Jeff: "HAHAHA WHAT ARE YOU DOING" I love the fact that Jeff was he only one who laughed at the joke. Fucking love the chemistry between those idiots.
Surely one of the most 'Larry David' moments of all time..... Cheryl's face as the car drives past Larry being thrown out of a Paul McCartney gig with John McEnroe, arguing over a freak book. 😀
This might be my favorite curb thing ever. The obnoxious laughing at something as ridiculous as a freak book is so horrendous and SO funny. Only Larry David man...only Larry David.
I admire LD's lack of shame so much, he turns a mortifying situation into a nothing moment, its probably impossible for catholics to ever achieve the no shame state
My favorite part of this is how Larry, Jeff, and John McEnroe are the only ones who think the freak book is funny and furthermore are so oblivious to their surroundings that they laugh at it obnoxiously loud while other people are around.
Really like the scenes with Larry and Ted Danson arguing. Ted always looks so annoyed by Larry. The one where they fight over the whitefish sandwich is my Favourite.
Why did Cheryl ever even marry Larry? She doesn't like his jokes! She never supports him in any situation even when he's correct! She always takes other people's side against him! The shocking thing isn't that they ever divorced but how they ever even got hitched in the first place!
If it were my birthday party, I’d love to have people like Jeff and Larry there, laughing at a crazy book like that. Everyone at this party seems to take themselves too seriously
