I do not love the helm position, but HH and others are doing it too. I'd be more interested if they would do something like the OC 50 helm. Yes, raises the boom a little, but much more protected. Doubt I could afford this build, but everything else is looking awesome. He has tons of experience, amazing production facility, sustainability is considered, etc. so checks lots of boxes.
Looking forward to seeing one of these in person, looks very impressive and I’m sure she’ll fly! Not everyone understands that performance doesn’t just mean fast, it means still sailing in light air when others will be motoring. The only thing I’d add though is when your cruising offshore you spend more time slowing these boats down for comfort than trying to make them go fast. A progress video on hull 1 would be nice to see 👍🏻
Guys, I follow you since the GF1800 SSS Zero... at that time it was Cure Composites if I recall it well..Cure Marine project seems to be pretty serious! Do you plan to present the Cure55#1 in some European boat shows? And by the way when do you plan to splash Cure 55 #1? Thx!
If you want to build a perfect boat, it must be lightning-proof, like the Explocat 52. At least the mast needs to be aluminum and grounded, which is connected to a metal band along the hull to the water. You don't want to know what will happen if lightning hits a carbon fiber boat.
I'd like to see one in the flesh at the sanctuary cove boat show Because of the crappy exchange rates here in Australia I certainly hope the boat doesnt require me to sell my firstborn to pay for one The boats I'm looking at in this class cost over 3Mil AU
The first Cure 55 will be completed mid-2024, but we will be present at the show. Please stop by our booth or email lee@curemarine.com.au to discuss the Cure 55 in more detail.
