Nothing is worse than pulling out of a drive thru and hearing that grinding 🙈 Luckily, here is an easy way to fix your curb rash for cheap. I know I have done it plenty of times!!!
This should be called how not to fix a rim. This is how to fix it and make it look less like a 4 year old has been at your wheel. 1. sand with 80 grit sand paper on all damaged parts. 2. Use a filler to fill deep scratches and rough edge.3 sand again with 80 grit. 4. Sand with 180grit. Then for professional finish sand with wet and dry sandpaper (finest grain). 5. Mask what you dont want sprayed then spray on primer leave to dry, run fingers around rim make sure your happy with finish. 6. Spray on silver aerosol then finally Spray on clear coat very lightly at first followed by heavier coat. Job done and it will look awesome 👌 😎
Videos like this prove so many people lack basic common sense. Incapable of simple repairs...either paying big $$$ for a pro or a DIY that is laughably shoddy. Geez. Use progressively higher grit sandpaper, maybe some filler for gashes. Smooth it and finish with spray paint for near match. Like in all things, attention to detail and elbow grease matter.
Better to get the wheel fixed by a professional it usually runs around 150-200 dollars a wheel and it will be good as new. To each his own but to get a professional finish that’s the way to go.
