Pastor Vlad continued his series on Single Ready to Mingle and he went into a crucial part of how in every relationship knowing who we are in God is a vital part. He went into detail of how to cure insecurity.
Sermon Notes:
75% of girls with low self-esteem reported engaging in negative activities like cutting, bullying, smoking, drinking, or disordered eating. This compares to 25% of girls with high self-esteem.
Insecurity is idolatry.
“For My people have committed two evils: they have forsaken Me, the fountain of living waters, and hewn themselves cisterns-broken cisterns that can hold no water.” Jeremiah 2:13
Insecurity leads to insanity.
Insecurity vs Identity:
Insecurity is into titles, identity is into towels.
Insecurity is into competing, identity is complete
Insecurity focuses on weight, identity focuses on worth
Insecurity looks in bathroom mirror, identity looks in the mirror in the word
Insecurity is jealous, identity is joyful
Insecurity is focused on issues, identity is focused on intimacy
Insecurity is into self-pity, identity is into self-care
Insecurity live out labels, identity live out of love
Insecurity hides from God, identity hides in God
Insecurity feels abandoned, identity walks as adopted
Insecurity leads to idolatry, identity leads to inheritance
1. When you have a reason to feel insecure, you have a choice not to feed on insecurity.
2. When you don’t eat from tree of life, you end up wearing fig leaves.
3. When you can’t remove the tree of knowledge, you must resist it.

I was insane🙌🙌🙌 I was overly sensitive! I always thought people were looking at me because I was insecure of the way God made me. What a shame?! Thank God he delivered me! I'm delivered from this evil mind!!😭😭😭 I would cry when I get back from school seeing these nice shape sisters and me, I felt like I wasn't enough. But now, God help me. I work out and build myself up and God helped me get outta my head. Who cares about what you think? Jesus think good of me. That's all! Amen💕💕💕💕

You are beautiful, inside and out sister. I was the same way. From like age 7-21, I would always feel like people are staring at me, making fun of my looks, and that made me soo insecure and sensitive about myself. I hated myself so much because of that, that I almost committed suicide... And my younger sister was the same way after me. We would walk outside and she kept telling me that people are staring at her and laughing....where there's just cars passing by. The devil tries hard to deceive us in those thoughts. We shouldn't let that happen. We are made beautiful in the image of God! We are His sons and daughters. May God bless you sister!

This message has blessed me so much. For years I have been struggling with insecurity, and God had to reveal to me that I was attached to so many people because I looked to them to fill emotional voids they could never fill and when they did not, I became angry with them. I could never figure out why I was so angry with certain people until God revealed that I looked to them for validation and which can only be found in Him. I thank God that He is delivering me and enlightening me with His word!!

I’ve been living out of insecurity! Growing up no one wanted to sit beside me because I am dark skin! Guys put chewing gum in my hair, other ppl thought out high school would just hit me on the bus for no reason. I’m tall with short hair! I am 35 and still never had a date or relationship! God is faithful and I will never understand why people hate me but I will try to never live out of my insecurities!

I'm not where I am suppose be. My name is Jose I currently am in IL I was brought up in a very strict environment. Mom was Pentecostal Christian Dad was catholic. I always knew what God has done for me he send his only son to die for our sins on the Cross. So that we be forgiven, I've taken that for granted been selfish and taken his Mercy and Grace for granted as well. I want to recommit myself again to go and be free of my sins and live for God. I've been hot and cold, I always wanted to take control. I ask for prayer deliverance and to allow him to take control of my life because he's in charge not me.

@@larimarcabrera3895 thank you so much please help me understand why he chose me with a high possibility of having to live with MS and possibility of testicular cancer. I am in acceptance of the possible diagnosis. Just having a hard time taking it all in. Hard to be very limited to things I can do. Guess I should be glorying his good name, the fact I still have a mouth and hands to praise him. My legs aren't as mobile but still can pray eat, listen, speak I guess I'm just asking of him the wrong thing instead of accepting it and allowing him to do his will in me.

I skipped through some of the weeks.. But this message was just what I needed. I need to start eating from the Trees that God has planted in my garden. I really just had a dream about a python and it was planning to attack and then did attack but had no effect on me. I then realized.. I had been struggling with fear, doubt and insecurity lately.. And Soo it meant that I needed to bind those things and eat more of God's word. Thank you, Pastor Vlad for this message. Please God for your Obedience in delivering this message. I need to do better and speak and declare and command. The devil often tries to take my voice. Because I have felt paralyzed to open my mouth.

I grew up as catholic but never followed. I’m now glad I got to open myself and follow in Jesus name by this wonderful and life changing sermon (Hungry Generation) I came across to. I feel Narcissism is brought on by trauma and a need for control. Please pray for me brother, I don't feel I am going to heaven, I want to invite the holy spirit. I've been a intellectual Christian, listening to hours of preaching and believing God is very much in this world and the devil is controlling a lot of the reality we see today in culture and government but I don't feel like I have the presence of God in my life just empty knowledge.

1. You will always have a reason to feel insecure. You will have a choice not to feed on your insecurities 2. When you don't eat from the tree of life you will end up wearing "fig leaves". "Fig leaves" cannot fix insecurity. Feeding on the fruit can.
